I will be attending both these shows on 4-1 and 4-2. I will be coming down from Seattle area (due to work constraints, cannot attend shows in Bellingham or Seattle). Looking for someone to share ride down Friday afternoon, and/or probable return late Sunday afternoon. I'll drive and provide tunes; you provide good company. Also looking for people to meet before shows for dinner, drinks, etc. Contact me here or at tiedyehigh@gmail.com.Thanks, and enjoy the music. "Whatever comes to pass Will just pass right on away"

    Philadelphia Listening Partner/Guide
Hi there - I figure this is probably one of the safest places on the interwebs to post this, so here goes. I live in Philly, am a huge music lover, and I've been slowly getting turned onto the Dead over the last 6 months or so, but I don't really know where to start. For one thing, I'm overwhelmed, to say the least, by the size and scope of their output. As a longtime fan and collector of Phish (is it kosher to admit that here? j/k), I know what it means to be consumed by a band's music, to know their history and the musical tendencies of the band members backwards and forwards… but that makes it all the more frustrating for me, not knowing where to start with the Dead; there's just so much MORE, in every way. For another thing, it's all well and good for me to go to sites like deadlistening.com, or poke around archive.org, and listen to whatever I happen to find, but going it solo just seems so antithetical to the spirit of community that this band has inspired, and continues to inspire. I don't know a soul who is a Dead fan, but I really want this to be something I can share, and not just keep to myself. Simply put, I need help. I can tell that there's a universe of music here, waiting to reveal itself, but I think I need a guide of sorts to get me started. So if you're a Deadhead living in the Philadelphia area; if you're the sort of person who hears an amazing jam and wants to share it with everyone you know; if you're willing to help a new seeker make some sense of the Dead - find an entry point, so to speak - I'd love to hear from you. You can PM me here on dead.net. Thanks! -- Jon

Hey Dizzy, Darryl, Katman, Woz, Jon, Cue, Carl, Bob and the rest of the guys from Fall 1973 at Geary Hall Penn State University Park, are you out there? Europe '72 was playing all the time and the air was filled with sweet smoke. You also lived in the Mars Hotel on College Ave in Sun's Slums after moving out of the dorms. I'd love to hear from you,-Gary

Looking for Dave... the "Feisty" one! All I can do is remind you of good times... The Dead show at Memorial Stadium Seattle... just before Jerry died. The rooftop of the parking garage... the Husky game... Green Lake... Best of all: lunch in South Park when the cops "caught" us. (Well it's hard to call that the "best". Every time I saw you it was the "best time".) We still have a connection all these years later! I can feel it. Please contact me!! DAMMIT!!!

Does anyone know how I might contact the 3 persons who were hit by lightning right before the show began on 6/25/1995. I believe their names were Kristin Daniel, Kira Lee, & John Pongel. Does anyone know them or what happened to them in life? I would really like to hear from them.

I just moved to Grand Haven Michigan, and am a little depressed about it. I was told to not have any stickers on my car or I will get pulled over in 30 seconds. That you better not wear the wrong clothes or have too many piercings. I'm just not used to keeping it in. I like to let my freak flag fly! I'm hoping to find a few cool people to hang out with without having to drive for hours. I know we are everywhere, hopefully I find some kind people here!

Does anyone around here know the Randy Jackson who put together the website Roots of the Grateful Dead, here:http://taco.com/roots/roots.html (He's NOT the guy from Journey/Idol judge.) I've referred to his site many times over the years, and I get worried every time I look at the note at the bottom of the front page that reads "Last updated 12/13/1996". So, I archived all of his information, and I'd like to get in touch with him regarding it, but the e-mail address listed for him isn't valid any more, and I can't seem to find him anywhere on the internet. He has some really good stuff on there, and it would be sad if it weren't available any longer. If anyone knows him or how to get a hold of him, or Randy, if you read this, could you please PM me? Thanks very much! Kutsavi

I love sports, too, but I NEED A SHOW! This is getting serious! If anyone lives and loves the Grateful Dead like I do and lives around here, drop a line to jmeesey6@hotmail.com. I would love to hear from you!

Seems there are a few of us isolated here and there in Michigan. I would like to connect with other folks who are into the music, the scene, and maybe some frisbee. I'm near Kalamazoo. Send me a note at musky_ranger@yahoo.com if you are interested in a get together. Oh, I'm also searching for a nice lady to kick around with and spoil with gifts and such. I'm 49 but youngish, masters degreed, I love silly jokes and harmless pranks, I live on a lake and fish a whole lot. I have a sweet Golden Retriever named Shady, he's my best buddy.

I have not decided where to stay but the Intercontnental with its incredible indoor pool is an option. I am looking for a lovely lady to accompany to dinners (at least one at Bayless' place) and to the shows and to wherever else we decide would be fun. I am single, white male. 55 years old. Lawyer in San Francisco. if you are interested, you can reply to triune3@gmail.com and we can carry the conversation on from there.

I'm in need of a few good, kind hearted, trustworthy heads in or around South Jersey to make my life less lame. I currently living alone in a house I rent out in the sticks and have little but my volunteer job, xbox live (such a time waster), and my art to keep me company. Not looking for sympathy or pity friends, just a few good heads to kick it with in my little house in the beautiful countryside of south Jersey. I have a HUGE backyard that has so much potential, and no one to share it with, so if you live in Jersey and feel like chillin' around a campfire before the winter hits, or could fill my house with the blessings and company of good family then shoot me a message on here and we shall see what comes of it. Much love, be good family... ~LaughTear

I'm just in the very beginning stages/brainstorming a book on the concert from 5.8.77. Widely considered to be the best show the band ever played, I'm hoping to gather enough photographs, recollections and other assorted information to turn the book into an oral biography. But of a show, not a person. If you were there and would like to tell me about the show/what you recall/what you saw please be in touch. No memory is too small! Feel free to email me at cornell5877@gmail.com. Thanks. Jawal Nga

Hello family :) I was wondering if you could maybe help me out with a little something. I'm trying to find this older woman that I met at the Bill Graham this past new years, or if this is you, even better: Her/Your name is Deborah. I'd say she's in her late 50s-mid/late 60s with long white hair. She was sitting down in the handicapped section (I believe with another gentlemen, maybe her husband?) on Phil side down on the floor of the Bill Graham this past new years (2010-2011). During the show, she/you were taking pictures of a short girl named Lauren with brunette dreads and a black sparkly scarf. You told her that it was like looking at a reflection of yourself from years past. That girl, Lauren, is me. And Deborah, if you by chance see this, I'm so sorry I haven't gotten in contact with you! I lost your business card with your contact info amongst the madness that was new years eve and I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to properly say goodbye- there was a situation with a friend that needed to be attended to immediately.. ay yi yi what a way to ring in the new year! Regardless, I really want to find you and connect with you! There are so many questions I want to ask! So, Deborah, if you see this, or fellow deadheads, if you know who I'm talking about and can help me out, please please PLEASE email me at laurenchristine87@gmail.com and let me know! Here's to putting all of the positive energy out into the universe and manifesting our reunion! Hope our paths will cross soon, mama! :) Love & light, Lauren

My brother and I boarded the train at the Damon/North Avenue station, and you were already on the train. I sat across the aisle from you and noticed you had a kind face. Your tousled hair peeked out from beneath your stocking cap. I kept stealing glances at you, wondering at yoru back story. The older woman sitting behind you asked to borrow your cell phone to make a call. You dialed the number for her and let her talk until the train stopped at the venue's station. We exited the train together and talked about the previous night's show and our anticipation of this night's show. My brother wanted to get a beer at the tavern across the tracks before the show, so we parted company. I wish we could have talked longer or exchanged contact info. And...in my wildest dreams I never thought I'd post a missive looking for a lost connection.
