by request
Started this at the request of one of our folks who's dealing with cancer-fighting challenges, as a place where people who are dealing with this themselves or have loved ones struggling with it, can hang out, tell tales, and share support.
Are you kind?
FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN!
Was wonder about Fire on the MTN before I was diagnosed. Now it makes perfect sense. Need to drink lots of water after chemo cause there is a dragon with matches that's lose ion the town. Take a whole lot of WATER to cool it down.I play this everyday to remind me to drink lots of water. (~);-)
@puff the magic dragon
hey mmmmmmm fight the good fight.....Jerry would approve
GRATEFUL! (~)'-)
It has shrunk ALOT!Keep dem good prayers and vibes coming.
Couldn't do it without you
Thanks for starting this
I am a cancer patient. Esophogetoctomy and just had an esophagectomy on the 11th of May. Here's to hoping I feel well enough to make it to Shoreline next weekend. 50-50 on that right now.
Believe it or not
In Oregon a legal state that most dispensaries has gone recreational it is harc to get med. Spendy or hard now to find a grower ect or just info so I am hoping this is a place to share what has worked for you or what you need for your particular disease.

@rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Med don't pay taxes. It isn't cheap thing it's the unbelievable lack of info.
Learning to ask for help and so grateful!
Had such a good time at shoreline I had to scam a wheel chair from the airport tarmac to the taxi's. Came home to a pre leaving looking for keys mess that already worn down sent me back to the hospital for a bit and a new round of chemo that's really trying to kick my brain and ass. Now I have family to help with my biz and heavy lifting. Even Cancer meals on wheels to help for 2 daze after chemo. Words can't say how grateful I am. Forest cleaning out my herb garden makes up for any b-day or moms day he has ever missed.
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!
After looking for 4 months I finally got my RSO oil Harlequin strain 70% CBD 30% THC.
~Don't let go~
Thanx Anita and rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I got just one more chemo! I am rocking this the best I can. It's a good thing they call me trouble and I keep them laughing. My heart, organs, blood work, and collapse of my tumor and nod is Very Very Very good! Doc told me to keep doing what I am doing. Next week I find out about my new bobbies. ( @ )( @ ) :D
Stay Positive
Trust in a higher power, doing what the Doc told me to do and a positive attitude got me thru it 15 years ago. Listening to the Dead and others helped to fill my head with good stuff too.
Everyday is a great day!!!
Helpful Chemo hacks
1. Get a cheap satin night cap from the pharmacy. 2. Your hair will prob will come out in a day and this prevents hair from getting all over. 3. Eat like you are training for a Marathon. You won't be loosing weight from throwing up nor should you want to. 3. Listen to Grateful Dead. Fire on the mountain was my chemo song to play and drink water to flush the poisons. 4. As a poem my reg. care giver Dr. Dan Sisco wrote and gave to me says; "This just your body going through things and even thought you have to deal it is not you and you can separate yourself. 5. Let the sm shit go. 6. Big shit will seem sm. 7. Be open and talk to ppl. 8. Get your kind, positive tribe around you (Deadheads). 9. Thank everyone again. 10. Grateful and humble for your love and support it has helped me sooo much when I would think I didn't have it in me.Words can't say how much I love y'all.

Not smoking
From a pill I get another chance to have a better operation outcome by not smoking for 6 weeks than if they did it now. Take all the good vibes I can get.

All the cats
under the stars, and all the cats in the stars above, are banding together to send love and encouragement and prayers and hugs from the far corners of the universe. This comes straight from Gracie, the bestest Maine Coon cat ever.
Samantha, the ball of Maltese fur and giggles on the couch says me too...
You can do this, Mona.

Aunt is Diagnosed with Breast Cancer
She's a lonely woman and in need of prayers right now. Last year she had one of her ovaries removed and this year she is diagnosed with cancer. Her fiance' has left her after knowing that she's sick. All I am asking you is a prayer that she will be able to make it. She's really depressed right now, and I honestly don't know how to comfort her. Thanks guys.
Prayers to your aunt
And big positive vibes! Just be there for her. Having positive ppl has been the best medicine to me. Maybe make plans with her for something fun to look forward to. I'm hoping for a Dead NYE myself.

All our best, Mona. Romey and I think of you often. May the rivers of your physiological flow move freely once again.

Black Muddy River
Hello fellow Deadheads, I’m so very happy to hear stories like Mona’s and other’s. I’m happy to hear and embrace successful stories of kicking cancer’s ass!!!
My 35 yr old daughter has been battling colon cancer for 3 years. She had a successful treatment 2 years ago but we found out 2 months ago the cancer returned and the long term prognosis is not good. Last week we found out my sister, age 52, has an aggressive form of breast cancer, a recurrence from 10 years ago, that spread throughout the body. Prognosis is not good either. Both daughter and sister have been told told we’re not talking years, but months. Posting here because I feel a kinship with my fellow Deadheads and I know you all have someone in your family or know someone who is battling cancer. Cancer knows no age, no race, no boundaries.
I guess what I’m saying is I’m posting here cause I can’t imagine walking alone by the ‘Black Muddy River’, though we all will at some point.
And lastly, I’d like to say ‘FUCK CANCER!!!!’
Thinking of Mona
Mona,
Hoping that by the time you read this, you are done with treatments and looking forward only to blue skies on your horizon!! No clouds...
Peace to you
