I agree that solicitation here is not helpful, especially since TPTB are being so cool about all the vining of as yet unreleased material that goes on here (thanks to representations on our behalf by kind people in a position of influence) On the other hand (and as discussed in other forums) TPTB would be doing themselves and many other folks a big favour if they would issue a download only version of the Fillmore 69 shows. That way the collectors maintain the value of their precious unopened original numbered sets and more people get to hear the amazing music inside the box. The alternative is that the demand for illegal copies of the set will continue.

As an artist I appreciate this. thank you. The dead community has plenty of "free" content out there in the form of tapes. There is a lot of work that goes into commercial release's and all involved deserve to get compensated for their work. It is in the fans interest so these release's keep coming. pk

because it was yet another solicitation to make an illegal copy of a commercial release by someone who apparently thought the post above did not apply to him. It does. Again, do not offer or solicit copies of commercial releases here. Such solicitations are unacceptable here and will be removed. Thank you.

I am sorry for asking this as I am sure it has been well covered, but I need to know what the best music management software is... I have about 800 live Dead/JGB CDs and about 4000 hours of tapes that I am going to start ripping/saving as wav files, but I am not sure what program is the best one to use to label everything by show, year, date, etc. I am not doing store bought stuff, just lust live recordings. I would like to buy a huge external HD to hold all of this stuff (or two or three), but would love to have a way to easily access the shows/songs. I realize I will have to do a lot of leg, er finger, work to rename the songs, dates, etc., and I am fine with that as I plan to do this over a year or so. Anyone have a suggestion?

Hey, anyone know where I can score some copies of the old Golden Road zine? Also, a friend of mine used to have this sweet hologram GD watch, I think it was the hat-tipping skeleton with the cane. I've been looking for one of these for my bro forever (he lost his) but no dice. Anyone? Oh, and hey PhilZone - copies of the oop Fillmore 69 box go for around 300 on eBay (with the bonus disc), if that suits yr wallet a little finer than 800-1000 (what scammer's been quoting you those prices??).........

Please do not solicit recordings of commercial releases, however out of print. Lots of people are bummed about the limited edition aspects of this box set, and I don't blame them, but as others have noted, a)yes, it is a limited edition and that's why people want so much for it, evidently because they think someone will pay that much (hey, I missed it myself), and b)making unauthorized copies of it or soliciting same in this forum is not okay. Sorry.

In 2004, The Dead posted one song from each show on the tour on the website for download. I just had a recent hard drive crash and lost mucho GB of live music. (I was going to backup, I swear). Most of these songs I had burned to CD, and I only need the last four songs on the tour. Can anybody point me to a download site to grab these four songs. I would prefer the unedited versions, as e-tree has a (dead) torrent with edited files. Thanks much.

From the website:"We are now accepting a limited number of RV reservations......If your reservation is accepted, you will be notified by email. " An open ended "We'll let you know if you made the cut " is no way to run a business OR a festie. C'mon guys. How about "you will be notified one way or another" or "check back here and we'll post whether or not we're full". I thought this was a family...

Anyone know where to get one of the crazy tie dye's Phil is wearing on the last page of the Crimson, White, and Indigo booklet? I had one years ago. I seem to recall them referred to as "string dyes." Complicated, intricate, and very trippy. Lemme know! David es335dg@hotmail.com

If anyone out there want's a free Dancing Bear Screen Saver, please let me know. Send me a private message on this site... and please include a valid email address in the PM. I'll email a zip file with an old (but still working version) of Dancing Bears screensaver. It was created back in 1999, but works on Win95/Win98/WinME/2k/XP. I have no clue if it works for Vista of Windows 7, since i don't have any active copies of those operating systems. Just trying to share the wealth, ... peace... GratefulJim

I am looking for a replica (or close to it) of my favorite T-shirt. Centered is a "Skull & Roses" from the clavicle up, surrounded by "Grateful Dead" in American Beauty font. I need a size 2 -3 XL. The color of the shirt is not important. My shirt (circa '79 or '80) is thread bare and was a size medium. Time has taken it's toll on both the shirt as well as my size. If you have one for sale, or know where I might find one, I would love to hear from you. Ldbader@verizon.net

The only place I know of to get one of those is on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley, CA. If you are ever in the bay area stop by that street on a Saturday and I'm sure you'll find it._____________________________________________ Will you come with me? I'm in search of help....as deadheads we need to help our good friend TigerLilly. She's been here for years and is desperate need of a laptop computer. Why? Not because she is a non-hardworking mother....BECAUSE, she is in peril and needs our help. I'm not asking you as a Deadhead or a member of Dead.net....I'm asking you as a brother and a sister. She deserves it! We as a family should help her. She is so far away from all her friends and family. Peanut and Callan are her daughter and son respectively, they are so beautiful....I'm tired of watching her struggle to make ends meet! Let's come together as a family and try to make this miracle happen for her! OK~Goal~Small Desktop for TigerLilly What we need~She's in Germany, not much, but I'm assuming $300-$400 total. How you can help~Any little bit will help....even $10.... Before you send anything Private Message Mona here @ dead.net tell her how or where you can help and we will make it work. This is part of our community, we love our TigerLilly and want her to have a puter. Thank you for your help! TigerLilly _____________________________________________ Will you come with me? I'm a fairly casual fan looking for a good commercial release of a show with Shakedown Street. Does anything immediately come to mind as "the one" to have. Thanks.

This technically not a release of a show but rather a compilation of tracks from the shows in Egypt. The Shakedown on this CD is one of my all time favorites.

What's the whole licensing issue on using the logo? Over the years I have seen folks change it up hundreds of times for shirts and such. What if I want to make my own customized and give them away? Anyone have experience on that?

Are these shows for sale on dead.net? Cornell - May 8, 1977 Radio City Music Hall - October 31, 1980 Rockpalast - March 28, 1981 Can you tell me where to find them?

I suggest you go over to the Tapers section of the forums, specifically the Vindex, and see if those shows are being vined. (Vining: one person sends the show to the next, who copies it and sends the original to the next person, ad infinitem). The albums Reckoning and Dead Set contain portions of the Radio City shows, but I don't think the full show was ever commercially released, so the trading section may be your best bet. I defer to the more enlightened on the other shows, but I believer the Cornell one is one of the classics and widely traded, as I used to drive around listening to it a lot myself in my commuting days.

A tape exists of this vintage show in Palo Alto: I used to own it. I can not find even a set list existing online. Hi Heeled Sneakers was played for sure... The date has been variably listed as 12-11-1965 or 12-18-1965, depending on when the Muir Beach Acid Test actually took place. Someone out there has a copy! Where are you? Greg Tyler Allison
