    MSG Playin'
I really enjoyed this show at the time. Listening to it now, the Playin' holds up really well. The Crazy Fingers and Uncle John's Band are good, but not as good. Overall a good show. It was the first time my mom went to a show, the second time for my dad. Mom went to a handful of shows after I left NYC in 88.

Thanks for paying tribute to this show; my first in New Haven. A terrific show and a good prelude of shows to come.

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1972, 1982, and 1987.

Our first selection this week is from Waterbury, CT, on 9/24/72, during the great first leg of the Fall Tour of 1972. From this show, we have second set music featuring Greatest Story Ever Told > Bertha > The Promised Land ; Friend Of The Devil ; Jack Straw ; Tomorrow Is Forever.

Next is the end of the show from 9/23/82 in New Haven, CT, where we have The Wheel > The Other One > Wharf Rat > Around And Around > Johnny B. Goode, Baby Blue.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 9/19/87 at Madison Square Garden, the fourth show of a five night run at MSG. From this show, we have Crazy Fingers > Uncle John's Band > Playing In The Band.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
