This was at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, NC. The Dead played to 35,000 heads. There was a thunderstorm which knocked out power in the middle of Promised Land. Power was restored in about 5 minutes, and the Dead picked up where they left off. I have included some newspaper articles on this show. This show has some very good jamming in Set 2. The other 1995 shows are on CDRs (5 total). I do not have source info but they appear to be digital soundboards. I must point out that these ’95 shows are technically not seamless. There are very small dead air glitches between tracks-about 1/4 of a second. This is how I got the shows so until upgrades are seeded, this is all I have to offer. Plans are in the works to do another ’95 vine with about 3 to 4 shows. Grateful Dead - July 10, 1990 Carter-Finley Stadium -

Or crashing the gates, I always thought that kind of stuff gave deadheads a really bad name. If you don't have a ticket you aren't going in and if they say stay off the hill then stay off the damn hill. Oh and by the way I'm in on this one =) Thanks David! 1. maustin 2. 1958 3. kwitt 4. Here are a few other tidbits for the 7/10/90 show. Carter Finley is a football stadium. There was a grassy hill there on one side opposite the stage, and folks were determined to keep the heads off the hill at all cost. Law enforcement was stationed there. During the show, there was a thunderstorm, and the hill became a muddy mess. The heads purposed in their heart to take the hill during the first set. It became a nice game of "king of the hill." Some brave heads galloped and stormed to the grassy top, only to be quickly neutralized by law enforcement. The heads quickly called up their reserves and re-enforcements and put it all in for one gallant and fearless charge up the hill and overwhelmed their adversary's defenses. They took the hill at around 2:00 minutes in Masterpiece. You can hear the crowd roar in triumph at around 2:06 on this soundboard copy.

As a side note, if anyone has the '95 shows as flac or seamless, I would love to see them vined.

This arrived yesterday (12/31/11), making it my final gift from the Dead.net community in 2011. Words cannot say how grateful I am for all the great material folks have shared on this site. Really, it is the best of the GOGD spirit in action. Copying this now and will get it out ASAP. New Years blessings to one and all.
