Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1971, 1979, and 1985, two selections from Western NY, and one from home in San Francisco.
Our first selection this week is from 11/6/71 at the Harding Theatre in San Francisco, where we have this nice batch of classic 1971 Dead: Mexicali Blues ; Sing Me Back Home ; One More Saturday Night , Ramble On Rose, Bobby McGee.
Next is the entire first from 11/9/79 at the Aud in Buffalo, NY, where we have this great batch of early-Brent music: Alabama Getaway > The Promised Land; They Love Each Other ; Cassidy; Loser; Lazy Lightnin'> Supplication; Althea; Easy To Love You ; Jack Straw.
Lastly this week is another Western NY first set, from 11/7/85 in Rochester, NY, the opening set from a terrific two night run at the War Memorial, the Dead’s last shows there: Dancing In The Street ; Dire Wolf ; C C Rider ; Loser ; Mama Tried > Mexicali Blues ; Cumberland Blues ; Beat It On Down The Line ; Deal.
