    Greatest day of my life
Does anyone remember the tarp and how hard it rained rite before the dead played? nd does anyone remember the naked chic in the tenth row dancing naked with a snake standing on a chair in front of a tripping teenage boy? If you remember please let me know. And if you are that girl thank you so much that was the greatest night of my life. Literally this was my 1 st show and the absolutely most incredible 24 hours I had on this earth. And thank everyone that was there also. I saw a lot of shows after this but I think we can all agree your 1st show is always the best....God loves deadhead girls and I do to.....

    My first show
This was my 1s t show. My aunt and her friend Rich took me here from Philly. We only had $40 each and I had $50 on me. We get here and there are one hundred thousand people that also needed a miracle, meaning we had no tickets. Ok the cheapest ticket was $60,we could not find anyone selling anything less then $60. We just didn't have it. I bought 3 hits of blotter for $10 so we each had $40 exactly. After 3 hours of walking around with our arms up saying we need one we finally put our hands down. At that moment out of nowhere this guy walks up and says hey I got 3 tickets for $40 each. We just looked at each other and then asked the dude if he would walk up to make sure they were real cause there were a lot of fakes going around. They were real and general admission also. As soon as I here little feat start playing my acid started kicking in. Then it starts raining real hard. This awesome down pore of rain soaks all of us completely wet. My aunt had a friend in the sound station in the middle of Giants stadium named Randy. I scream to Randy to throw me a tarp. He throws me a huge tarp which we get all the way to the front with. Little feat still playing we throw the tarp up and begin smoking all kinds of killer buds and hash. The Dead come on and the tarp gets ripped to pieces cause the rain stopped at the same time they started playing. The Grateful Dead Gods we with us that night. By now I am feeling great and the acid is working wonders. Remember this is my 1st show and I am teenager. Next this chic gets on the chair in front of me with a snake and nothing but one of them sun dresses all the deadhead chics wore at the time on. Well she drops the dress and begins dancing on the chair facing me totally naked with the snake. Holy Dead show is all I can say. From then on I never missed another show and cried hard the day Jerry died. I member like it was yesterday and will never forget it. Kids now a days don't realize what they missed. GD shows was the only place in the world I could be myself and let it all out. In the parking lot and inside the show. We miss and Love you Jerry.....

    So Lost...
I couldn't find my ride after the show and ended up sleeping outside and having an ankle bracelet taken in my sleep. But I found my peoples the next day and it was all good - that's an even bigger story.

Most people see this show as "not as good as the second night". But, it still was pretty good. Just give a listen to this weeks tapers section (6/11/07) the second set four song block. It really was quite nice. Besides that, I guess I'm biased because I was there for this one and not the 17th.

I think I set a record for being pulled over and searched in a 24 hour period. Good show I skipped finals for this one.

This was my 1st show without Brent.Ok.........nobody going to believe me but...... All threw the show on the right side of the stage, I kept seeing a huge fuzzy image of Brent........I'm not sure if Candace put a image there??......OR ...........maybe it was the light?? But I sware ........I SEEN BRENT!!. This was my only summer show, so i could not tell you if it was at any other summer show? After the show, I started talking about seeing.........I see jumed in saying Brent was on the right side of the stage......So...she seen it to. Anyone at this show remember seeing a fuzzy image of Brent on the right side of the stage under the big screen??? If the band did this on purpose........I thought it was really cool.

So funny how this worked out. At Buckeye on the 9th I walked all over to find a ticket for Chicago on the 22nd, my birthday. So then I have difficulty scraping up somebody to go with, and its a long road trip from Philly. My buddy Earth man convinces me to take my 6/22 ticket to Giants Stadium and trade to get in. I was able to swap it out, but it took all day, and I wasn't aided by the fact that Irv had a ticket that he could trade, but he was looking to get laid for it. He kept saying "Ticket for sex" He didn't get any. But we got to see a hot second set Jack Straw. What the hell. Eternal Consciousness Enjoyin the Ride, Haybrown

This was my 5th live Dead show. And first time hearing Box of Rain. Oddly, I don't recall Feat though I was a huge Feat fan back then.

It was right around my birthday and went to the concert without a ticket. Just wanted to experience at least the tailgate. Someone approached me wanting to see if i needed a ticket at facevalue $25. It was 4th row.
