Does anyone have any gd tapes they would like to get rid of to a good home? I love to have any your duplicates. I used to collect cds/tapes a little when I first got into the Dead but as things have become digital, I got rid of what I had! Anyway, recently got myself a new tape deck and thought it would be fun to collect/trade again! I am happy to pay for shipping etc. Thx! phishinjo6@yahoo.com

Hi there,
I don't know if this is the right place for this question but figured someone here would know the answer...
I am wondering what the best source for complete Grateful Dead set lists is? A friend used to have the entire Deadbase memorized. It was amazing, you could test him!!
I see there is Taper's Compendium as well (volumes 1-3???), and my friend said this is more complete?
What say youz?
Thanks guys!
Try the Shows & Lyrics section on this page (Look Up). Float your cursor over it, then go to 'Shows by Year', pick a year, then a show. The set list is usually integrated into that show page, or someone has kindly placed it in the comments (thanks hockey_john).
As much as the digital age has allowed the old tapes to be cleaned up and made to sound better on cd or through a computer, it does not sound right until it is put onto tape and played through a vintage system with old cabinet speakers. At least that is my preference.
That said, I resurrected my tape collection and have been able to acquire a ton of killer tapes. I am looking for blank/templets for j-card inserts. I have hundreds of tapes that need them so I am open to any designs or leads.
Thank you,
Steve
I also am looking to aquired Jcards so that I can clean up my collection of GD tapes. Does anybody have any info on the JCards that seemed to be mass produced specifically for Dead tapes? They often had "Live Dead" or some variation of that, printed on the spine and a stock photo of either Jerry, Bobby, or Phil on the front. Any info on these types of Jcards, or any other mass produced GD J cards would be very much appreciated.
there favorite show with songs Corrina and Estimated prophet and/or Shoreline Ampitheatre 1993 show with these songs,will send blank cds or postage :}
What can I send you for that show I'll send postage and trade if its cool :}

Hello friends, I'm looking for a recording of this show to give as a gift. CD or DVD hopefully. Thank you in advance!!
My husband told me to check out a user named brianhahne in order to find old releases at decent prices. There are a couple of Dick's Picks I still need to find (3, 4, 24, 28), as well as the Bay Area Pure Jerry - but not if it costs $300+. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
would be to send a PM to brianhahne. He posts pretty often, but he might miss this.
I think his eBay username is houcatdad. Here are his current listings: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ftrt=901&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%…
Looking for a resource for trading CD-R. Have done the Vines but I remember a vibrant tape trading network back in the day and want to rebuild my collection. Enjoying 6-20-74 on archive.org right now but the streaming doesn't help in my car or out by the pool. Any help much appreciated. Will trade what I have as well as postage, blanks, etc.
I was not a subscriber two years ago and missed a very important show that I attended. Looking for a CD of Dave's Picks Vol 7. PM me if you can help out, I would greatly appreciate it!

Does anyone want some discs with shows from 1982, 1987, 1988 and 1979, as well as some Jerry 1974? About 20 discs, 4 shows on average on each disc. I am moving stuff from disc to external hard drives and want to get rid of the discs. If people are interested, I will have many more to offer. PM me

I am desperately trying to get a hold of some dead tapes someone else has made. I know I could go on archive.org and make my own but I really am looking for someone to guide me by sending me tapes of their favorite shows. I'm willing to send blanks and pay postage. I have tremendous respect for the tapers who was there and am asking if anyone would be open to sending me some tapes. It would mean the world to me. Thanks in advance for reading this and considering it. Please PM me if this is something you would be open to.

I was at that concert, still have the t-shirt. Wasn't that Brett's first concert appearance? I have hundreds of taped concerts but don't think I have that concert but I'll check.
I am seeking a good quality recording of the 11/30/79 show, Stanley Theatre, Pittsburgh. It was a first date with a life partner and would like to make a Christmas present of it. Archive.org has several SBDs and an great sounding Matrix - for streaming only, of course. I'd like to have a CD copy to give as a gift.
Lots to trade if that needs to be part of the deal.
Thanks in advance!
If not, I can send you a copy. Do you have a collection of other shows? I need 5/12/92, 4/15/91, 10/13/89, 3/22/89 and some others. Would love to trade if interested. Thanks. (deadfan@mailnew.com)
Can you send me an email to deadfan@mailnew.com and I can send you what I have and what I need?
Thanks.

Hello everyone,My close friend, my girlfriend, and I have all become deadheads within the past year. We continue to go deeper and deeper each passing month.
I have gotten to point where I am hoping to get some tapes to listen to.
If anyone has extra tapes they would like to pass on to a new deadhead to experience please message me.
For faster/more convenient response email me at gulatherogress@gmail.com
We can work out the arrangements.
Thank you very much for your time.
Looking for donations, willing to trade I only have about 35 max tapes, most material from 60's and early 70's and then a bunch of scattered shows. Also have "emergency crew tape." pm me or email me at wizards61@hotmail.com.
SEEKING donations of cassette tapes of any 90's show preferably 1992-1995 but hey, ill take what I can get.
My young daughter has followed her parents’ footsteps and become very into the Dead. She doesn’t have her own computer to throw on shows so tapes would be great for her - I passed on my collection of 400 before she was born. We’d especially love anything with fun fan art / crazy cases / etc. All eras more than welcome! Thanks.
I just want to keep listening. Contact me if you have tapes,cd's you can pass along. Really interested in WOS shows.
I have at least 400 cassette tapes in my storage unit that I would like to give away for free. They are a combination of soundboards and audience recordings. All periods but heaviest concentration is from the 80's. They are in a state of utter chaos, in a very large and quite heavy plastic storage container.
This is way too heavy to ship, so must pickup in person. I live in Big Sur, CA and the storage unit is next to the Monterey Airport.
There are certainly a number of excellent audience recordings made by a friend and those are not in circulation. The tapes cases are fun, many decorated, harking back to that time when I was young in the 80's and had loads of time on my hands.
PM me if you are interested.
I'm looking for those late 60's and 70's bootleg recordings on reel to reel tape. Any good bands of the era, especially Grateful Dead!Looking to dust them off just one more time, gonna make them shine!
Let me know what you got!
Thank you,

I had an amazing guy from a Dead Facebook group recently gift me many JGB cd’s that were all from tapers and I am OBSESSED with the sound. I mean I’ve been listening to the Dead since I was a little kid but to hear the rawness of this sound just takes it to another level! When they kick into a song and the crowd erupts I can close my eyes and picture myself standing there in person. I’m sure many of you know what I’m talking about and it’s a bit embarrassing I’m so late to the game. If anyone has ANY old tapes I would be happy to work something out. JGB is incredible but I would die to hear some tapes of some Dead shows. If you’d like to email me that would probably be best. Cheers :-)
