    The Garden
Boston Garden...what a great place for a Dead show....I used to love that place...you could feel the groove thru the entire place...no matter where you were....Thank you Boston. I remember the 1st show I ever saw in Boston.....we were sitting in a Hotel room in Cambridge the afternoon before the show....well we had a riverview room in the Sonesta Hotel so we were sort of facing east toward the Garden.....well I was looking out the window and then noticed a few flags in the distance...an American Flag....next to it....a Steal Your Face flag....the Dead were in town and these were on top of the Garden!!!

    Police State
We had a pretty rough time at this show. We parked in the parking garage across the street and they (the police) wouldn't let us get to our car to leave. I saw some kids get whacked by a night stick and I remember running down the street looking for my friend. To this day I'm not sure if it was reality or not, but I still remember the show was a little rough for the boys. You know it's gonna get stranger, lets get on with the show, lets go!

Thought Garcie was going to die that night
He could barely sing the lines on Foolish Heart. I was Stage Right, I was really freaking about Jerry's shape. Band came out after break. Well all but G. Other guys had to just screw around for a good 5-7 minutes until G finally comes out. Anyway, screws up or struggles with lyrics and then just RIPPED the solo. Crowd went nuts. Quite cool. Boy, I miss the old Garden. I was in town on business. Night before the local news started and just shot a clip of the street scene before the show without a word, then a voice over came on and said "Guess who's in town?" Very different take than St Louis media who were always BAFFLED by us. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
