Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from the second half of the Grateful Dead’s touring career, from 1981, 1991, and 1993.
Our first selection this week is from 3/24/81 at the Rainbow Theatre in London, England, where the Dead played eight shows in 1981 (four in March, four in October). From the start of the second set, we have Shakedown Street ; Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance > He's Gone.
Next is the end of the show from the final night of a three night run at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, NY, on 3/25/91, where we have Space > The Other One > Black Peter > Throwing Stones > Playing In The Band Reprise, Lovelight. Cool trio of songs to end the show.
Lastly this week is the end of the second set from the tour-opening show on 3/9/93 at Rosemont Horizon just outside of Chicago. From this show we have Space > The Last Time > Black Peter > Sugar Magnolia.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
