    Magoo's tape sale
if true, the fellow w/ tapes could be a alice coltrane or god forbid yes im judging, dave matthews fan. or even better not really care either way. the great thing is he wants the family to have them. if you ask me the Dead remaining are now years later embarassing themselves with their money grubbing. seen here on this site for sure. they all shoulda moved and released a much sought after (cornell, veneta for me) if the quality far exceeds what's out there. east coast fuckin' deadheads man... oh and they are only listenable with Billy on the kit, acoustic or pre-70 = >'74. cornell sams dew is disco, kevineolson@gmail.com

    Tell you what, camaro man,
Tell you what, camaro man, I'd be interested in buying that tape from you if and only if you donated the proceeds to the Rex Foundation.

Are you really trying to turn a profit off this tape? I know no self-respecting Dead Head would pay you a dime for it. In the words of Jerry himself, "Let 'em have it. Once we're done with it (meaning the music), it's theirs. (meaning the fans). Show some love and respect.... put it up on archive.org, file share, start a vine, something, but don't be greedy(~):-} Salmon Will

He never said he was a fan or a Deadhead. He said the tape has been in his family all this time. Frankly, I doubt his veracity, but if indeed, he has that precious piece of Dead history, I see no reason why he can't choose to make money off it. While you or I would no doubt share it with the community, he certainly has the right to do what he wants with with the tape. With all due respect, you are in no position to tell him what he should do. Peace. "That path is for, your steps alone."

Whatever pomo- I'd love to hear other peeps weigh in on this....I may be in no position to tell him what to do, you got me there... free country, capitalism, e-bay, etc., but as far as I know, all vine posts, etc. on this site are shared and not sold. If I want to buy something like this, I'd get "Birth of the Dead" from the store.

Perhaps he shouldn't have posted here.Anyway, if he really has what he says he has, it would be awesome to hear. I would be willing to pay for it if it was cleaned up and re-mastered. "That path is for, your steps alone."

Agreed....that would be priceless fo sho...closest thing I have is "Birth of the Dead" and "Rare cuts & Oddities" which are both from that era..not Magoos though. I think Magoos was the first official Warlocks show, wasn't it?

I'm pretty sure I recall seeing them in that era, but they weren't common.

I started college in the Bay Area in '65, and the 1 7/8 ips was the rarely-seen newfangled technology on campus. But probably not at all unusual for bar bands of the era.

There's a copy of a MMUJC show on Archive.org community audio if anyone is interested. Very funny interview with Jerry & Bob toward the beginning of the set.

did exist that we established ,this show should find its way into archives and i personally would A not pay for it or B not sell it if i owned it if for what ever reason i didnt want it anymore i would give it away.Jerry did say the music was ours but lets be honest it aint quite worked out that way.Camaro man may or may not be a deadhead thats his buisness but i also understand where your coming from salmon will he aint offered to vine it which is my concern he should be offering us the free vine and auctioning the original tape.
