The Phil Lesh-Bobby Petersen composition "Unbroken Chain" was released on the 1974 album From the Mars Hotel, but the band never performed it live until the spring of 1995. To herald the debut, but without a recording of it yet in hand, I played a 1974 studio performance of the song (I don't know if it was a rehearsal or an outtake), from a cassette of unknown origin.
The balance of this program is a nice chunk of the second set of 5/4/86 at Cal Expo - "A generous sequence of songs, very enthusiastically-played," as I said in the back-announce.
