    Grateful Dead Hour no. 60

    Week of November 13, 1989

A show from early in my radio career, featuring my first interview with keyboardist and composer Tom Constanten, whose long and fascinating musical career included a stint of three years with the Grateful Dead in the late 1960s - one of their most creative periods.

TC continues to make extraordinary music to this day, in a variety of contexts. Look him up at tomconstanten.com.

    Tom Constanten!
What an enjoyable show. Tom Constanten was truly a gifted keyboardist for the Grateful Dead. His melodies weave a tapestry that simply infiltrate the mind. Such a joy to listen to. His brief tenure in the group makes performances like this all the more special!
