Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1973, and 1984.
Our first stop this week is the middle night of a three night run at Winterland in San Francisco on 12/11/72, where we have China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider; Box Of Rain ; He's Gone.
Next up is the start of the show from 9/24/73 at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, PA, where we have Promised Land ; Sugaree ; Jack Straw ; They Love Each Other ; Mexicali Blues ; Loose Lucy; Looks Like Rain.
Lastly this week is the show-closing sequence from 7/22/84 at Ventura County Fairgrounds, the second night of a two night run, where we have Space> Morning Dew> Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away, Midnight Hour>Brokedown Palace.

The crescendo of the final jam is so sick. Weir does this crazy ascending riff at the end that gets me every time! And the funny thing is we just drove past the scene of the crime and parked on the beach yesterday!
