    SUNY Binghamton

Yes it was SUNY Binghamton in 1970, and expending into "technology," business, nursing, but the undergrad liberal arts "college" was still known as Harpur College.

    Dick's Picks 8!!
When this came out as a Dick's Picks I bought two copies!! A wonderful acoustic set followed by monstrous hard edged versions of some of my favorite material. The Cryptical, Good Lovin, Dancin, Dew and Viola are complete standouts and get my juices flowing every time. To quote another head "Listening to this show changed the way I thought about music forever." Thank you very much Mr. Dick Latvala.

Bit of trivia: although the venue for this date is constantly referred to as "Harpur College," the school was already known as State University of New York at Binghamton. I think the name change occurred circ. 1966.

Oh my I played this reel recording of a '71 broadcast over and over in the summer of '72, I realized this was a very exciting band that I wanted to see again soon, I went to three bay area shows in August and that was it I was hooked. Thanks David for the tape! That tape did it, this was a really wild band, and it really made me think about rock music differently... what a great trip, all these years!

Probably the best show of the best year for shows, 1970. It has everything. My favorite Deep Elem, a cool Cold Jordan, and a Cosmic Charlie! Not to mention all the other monsters late in the show. Wow!

I study in this college to this day. Our college is largely famous for its academic excellence. Of course, there are many failures as in other universities. It will definitely be easier for you to study somewhere than with us. We have a very complicated education system, I succeed in succeeding only thanks. I think in our college every student uses this system https://au.papersowl.com/research-paper-writing-service research paper writing service. And that's cool. That, even so, they can help with this. I hope that in the future we will learn easier.

I study at Binghamton University (Harpur College of Arts and Sciences back in the day) and I cannot freaking believe that Grateful Dead themselves played here! I would give anything to get back in time and see them live there. I love my university and I love this band to death, it would be my "a dream come true" kind of experience.

Few words about me: I'm a die hard fan of Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper & Grateful Dead. I play guitar and drums and I also like writing. In my spare time, I write and edit articles for https://legitwritingservices.com review website. I like helping people, so I give free guitar lessons and help students write, edit and proofread their essays.

While tuning in the 1st set after Friend of the Devil, Jerry said "Everybody just relax man we have you all night long!" I was a freshman, 3 awesome sets including New Riders with Jerry on pedal steel. And We Bid You Good Night about 3 AM.
