...I know a cat named Way Out Willie!!!
This show was strong! Willie and the Hand Jive was very memorable and one of the few versions they ever played I think. Time to bust out the tapes. The boys from Winchendon styled it out pretty strong. Another drive to the South Shore with Steve at the wheel. Thanks to his folks too...for the bottle of Stoli's in the freezer ...unintentionally left but put to good use!

    I Will Survive!
After my experience the night before, it was perfect that they opened with "Touch". Even though the whole place new it was coming, I felt Jerry was singing it to me.

Here's another wonderful example of why this band is beyond description. Incredibly touching, heart-breakng, pre-drums "Comes A Time" and I don't know how Weir did it, but the timing was perfect when he took it into "Hand Jive." And "Morning Dew" in the same set??? Something to hold onto....

This was my first show. How could I not get on the bus after this one?

I was 16 at my first show. There was a Playin' Reprise after "Truckin." Strange that there are so many setlist errors on the GD's own site.

Hard to believe it was 23 years ago already. Thanks again for the ride, y'all.
