    GDTRFB
I attended the Providence show a week later, so I was able to witness a taste of this tour. A great deal has been written about this night and rightly so...I have heard many versions of GDTRFB and this one is still my favorite. It sums up part of why we followed them to the ends of the Earth. Complete fire. During Jerry's blistering solo, I have visions to this day...

    I think the concerts that
I think the concerts that took place in those periods were the best, when we look into the ones we are having these days and if we try to compare these two periods, we will be noting in front those concerts. I missed being born in that period. buckyball magnets

Bob Weir dedicated He's Gone to Bobby Sands. An IRA member who's hunger strike ended in death earlier that day.

Thanks to Dick and Dave, I am able to listen to one of my most favorite Caution jams EVER. And yes that Scarlet>Fire filler is killer, however I dont know (or cant remember), where its from. “The Omnipotent Grateful Dead!”

I believe the hidden Scarlet -> Fire is from Nassau Col. on 11/1/79. It comes after Saint of Circumstance.

Serious second set at the live show. Waiting for the bridge to He's Gone while listening to the Fire jam from the DP13 version playing on Sirius. Prisoner of conscience gets peace. End sufferation.

I thought alabama > greatest was an excellent beginning. All set 1 selections played well. When they opened with minglewood for set 2 I was a little disappointed with the selection. High time changed that and the second set was a classic. The he's gone>jams sequence was unbelievable and never gets old.
