Forty years of being a DEAD HEAD
Going to Dead Concerts was like going to a family and friends reunion. I would see people a had not seen in a long while. What a great life it was back then.
Sunshine Daydream
Many people are probably unaware that SUNSHINE DAYDREAM, the coda to "Sugar Magnolia" made its concert debut at this show. Prior to this show, the Sugar Magnolias sounded tentative, and ended rather abruptly (listen to the 8/18/70 version).
Sunshine Daydream developed during the "American Beauty" LP recording sessions at Wally Heider, apparently written right there in the studio.
