Absolutely the hottest Other One I ever saw the band play! The "Cryptical" intro was astounding enough, but the guitar solos out of Jerry on this Other One are as agressive as I ever saw!

The Cryptical jam is among the tastiest I have in my collection. It is quintessential for how the boys would put you in "the zone" during the show. One of my all time favorites.

so yeah I was like 15 or 16 just starting out on a life of my own (Whole other story altogether) anyway I had hitchhed out to California from Minnesota and found myself wandering around Berkeley and the next thing you know I am trippin my ass off and following along with the people that I was apparently with and they led me right up to the gates, I just walked right in and my life was forever changed! For the better of course!

The Scarlet > Fire is on of my favourites of all time. Great transition jam in between the two numbers.

It had been a strange weekend what with the expectations so high (sic) for the 20th year of the band and they played into this hype as well, the first show started out with an audio clip of beatles singing it was 20 years ago today... but the timing was off and the entire sound system crashed at one point. Still the keep on growing that phil sang stands out in my mind.. anyways this was the third and final show and as I already said expectations were really high, standing really close to the stage with my friends Diana Milbert and Daniel, the first set was, how shall I say it kindly... kind of dull. I don't even remember the midnight hour opener, it just did not stand out. Then as the second set rolled on, it was still not going down, so during a break I yelled out as loud as I could "play the obscure !!!! - Jer smiled and seemed to laugh and then they took a few more minutes and BLAM there was the opening of the other one.. cryptical... I was in total fucking heaven !!! It just hit the spot so great, perfect ! Only a we bid you goodnight even came close but because that was expected and this was not it just blew me away !

Was right down front for this show. As the band was settling in for the second set I yelled out "Happy Father's Day!" and Billy waved his stick at me. Thanks to the couple near me who shared their grapes during the set break-- they were refreshing!

I stood on the riser behind Phil during "Fire"...one of the best memories ever during a gig.The family members were all really cool to me & I remember all their kids playing w/ Wavy Gravy before,during & after the show. Double screwdrivers & pine smelling bud

NBC Time and Again: Grateful Dead if I knew the proper way to copy and paste from you tube I would, however this documentary has so many of us in it. From Curt in 83 to tom palante in 85 at the greeks.
