Grateful Dead

This was my first Dead show! NRPS opened, and the Dead played until well after 1:00 AM, after the public transit stops running in Boston! Being high school students who didn't yet have drivers licenses, my friend and I were glad to find that someone had set up about a half-dozen funky old school buses to run Deadheads from the Garden out to the suburbs, approximately along the main subway lines, after the show! It was so cool! And, definitely something that could have only happened back in those times.

I took the train in from Waltham. I couldn't get a ticket so I went around the side and climbed up the fire escape.I broke in through a window in the storage area and came down in the back of the stage. I walked down the steps on the side right next to the Wall of Sound. I got a front row view of the whole thing. I was tripping so I really got into the vibe of the speakers that shook the Gardens that night. It was so loud it damaged my eardrums. I've been hard of hearing ever since. The concert went so late I missed the last train out of north station. I tried to catch it and ran right through a plate glass door that was locked. I cut myself in three places from my wrist up to my shoulder.I ended up in the hospital getting stitches. I told that story a hundred times like a true veteran of a hard rock era.

Excited to hear this released DaP21! Have not and will not listen to before DaP21 arrives, but man, talk about a dream setlist :-)Way to go Dave! iGrateful

Thanks for all you do. I have written you repeatedly. When are you going to release High Auditorium, Alaska 1980? If you give Hawaii a shot, surely you well know the Alaska shows are as important AND unique.While at it, I will once again lobby for more Acoustic Releases from your series. Sans, Dick's Picks 8 - Harpur College, I don't recall much. Pay attention, please showcase the entire arsenal. I would also gladly be of service to help you in any way. Thanks so much!
