I thought this would be nice for a change and acknowledgement of a unique occurence in rock history caled the "progressive rock" movement. This is some of most incredible music and certainly some of the most complex music that has ever been composed in the 20th century. Homer Simpson said it best "everybody knows that rock music peaked in 1974" and I think he may have been onto something! For those who were around to witness such music live, take that experience to heart and cherish, it was special. Rock music has never been able to catch up to this level of musicianship and orchestration. -- Ursa Minor

prog vine
This vine died long ago, my friend. The Yes show is not from '72 by the way (I believe it is '78) (Circus of Heaven & Awaken weren't released until 77's Going for the One I believe). If people are interested, I have a good amount of Yes (50 shows) and some Rush (10 shows). You can't go wrong with a solid recording from the 70's from either band.
'fraid of that
Thanks Dstache, I was afraid that was the case, but you never know. The Yes show is prob from 78 Tormato tour. I remember seeing that tour when it came to the old Chicago Coliseum (RIP). First show I ever saw "in the round' . JakeR is hooking me up with a pair of Gabriel-era Genesis shows which should quench that thirst for a bit. By the way Dstache I signed onto your massive spring 77 vines (all three!!) and I just have to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. And THANK YOU to everyone else who helped you put these together as well. Lots of unsung heros behind these vines, and a real gift to the rest of us.
