dead shows
as the summer stretches on, i keep thinking back to shows from past summers and wish i was there again. there was always something special about a road trip during the summer to see the boys playing. windows open, tunes blasting from cassettes, smoke in the air and the anticipation of going to a dead show! no better way to spend a day/wknd during the dog days of the summer than hitting the road! wish i could see phil and bobby get back together soon and hit the road as a family again. long to hear some tunes again
happy birthday, jerry!
Went to all 8 shows
I bought 6 shows and snuck into one and then scalped the other. what a blast - love the naked girl on top of the truck well up to the dressing room for Phil

Great memories
Went to 3 shows. I recall thinking at the time that the boys' playing was solid, but a little tired. However, the venue, the history, the special acoustic sets ending in Ripple, and especially my fellow heads, all made these shows something I will never forget. I recently saw a special on TV re Radio City and they said these shows helped to revive the place. COOL.
Does anyone recall seeing the Holloween show in a movie theatre. I seem to remember seeing that show being simulcast in Albany.
live broadcast
This show was broadcast to many movie theaters live as it happened around the country. we actually saw this show in Pittsburgh, driving up from marietta college in OH. We were late because we saw a freak fatal car crash on campus before we left and had to give dispositions to the police. I still remember some of the Al Franken comedy bits between sets
(Radio City Music Hall NY, Oct 30)
From the eye popping stage design, the incredible beginning acoustic set and a show filled with Dead classics including some of my favorites, Terrapin Station, The Wheel, Ripple, (but alas no Dark Star!), an incredible night!!!
