Awesome to give everyone such great memories
Whoever attended could ever forget it... ...Walking arm and arm with Mark after a hose down from the Raleigh fire department, Jerry in shorts, Mickey dueling with the approaching storm, lightning hitting the stage, the roar of the crowd when I took out a security guard at the bottom of the hill. Brian and I were up in the nosebleeds. The metal bleachers were beginning to freaking scare me with all the rain and lighting. (I wasn't just your average paranoid head, lighting struck the stage during Promised Land later that night resulting in a power outage.) So, I was leaning on the retaining wall to the grassy slope. An agitated guard kept telling me to return to my seat. I eyed the bare-chested wild-eyed guy leaning next to me. We both knew what had to be done. He leaped over immediately barreling high speed toward the line of guards below. Before he crashed, I was over too yelling toward Brian, 'I'm outta here.' Brian hooted and in one bound hit the slick grass just behind me. We were the second and third to reach the field. At 6:40 into 'Big River' you can hear the crowd cheer us on! Followers in a near religious fervor came like a flood some 12 minutes later during Masterpiece most of whom were not as fortunate as us to make it over and disappear in to muddied masses. Just awesome, so immortalized are Brian and Me!

    Losing power during Promised
Losing power during Promised Land and kicking back up was awesome. All the kids sliding down the grassy hill as they were being chased by security was quite hilarious as well. Loved the show.

Ok...don't know what was in the water here....began my thinking that this would be the "dry/wet" tour...There was no kind bud and the rains came during this show. I did meet a beautiful man from San Fran who was on his first tour (more on that later) Show was great, the heat was not. The people in town were friendly ( if not a little suspicious ) and the FRAT boys inside did not know that the Dead and keggers do not mix. Thank you to the guys who saved me from the psycho Frat boy who tried to mame me on the inside by knocking me around a lot.

Keep on keeping on from here it was on toe the capitol and my first Dark Star.Aloha the music never stops it just keeps on truckin......
