Grateful Dead Hour no. 703
Week of March 11, 2002
First of four featuring the unreleased soundboard recording of May 25, 1974 on the campus of the University of California at Santa Barbara. I was there, and I remember friends pointing out Bill Walton in the crowd (he sure stood out!); he was a big basketball star at UCLA at the time, and our southern California Deadhead pals knew he was one of us!

GD Hours 703 & 706...
have nothing to do with UC Santa Barbara and it even says so!
Definitely Chicago and very enjoyable though.
Too bad he skipped most of the end of the first set on No. 703 and the Dark Star in the second set on No. 706. Back when this was aired Mr. Gans was limited to not releasing entire shows so these are a typical offering for that 2002 era. So now the question is, was Bill Walton there or in CA? And were you there either David Gans?
