Phil's 50th birthday
Sorry you got to never go to another show again bone-man. But hey you got to go to Philz 50th birthday. That was history in the making.. and got to see the Dead while they were still on top of their game..because I hate to say it but it was slowly falling apart more and more each year.. I really enjoyed seeing them in the 1980's when it was still van to go on tour.. I hope you're doing well my friend

Phil's 50th birthday Capital Centre Maryland
Was there all week for the shows they had. But this show was special since it was Phil 50th birthday party. I remember me and my buddy Brian walking around the parking lot because we had an "extra ticket".and everybody holding up their signs up saying they need a miracle or it's Phil's birthday and mine too.. LOL.. we just silently walked past these people and said looking for a ticket and just kept walking and the next thing you know about 500 people started following us, until 1 not John deadhead said these two guys don't have a ticket they're just being rude and not being kind. Prove it until we pulled the ticket out and show them.. then everybody started flipping out and addressing us yes sir and no sir.. what do we have to do to get it, one guy even offered sex.. LOL.. that we declined.. and this beautiful young little deadhead girl came off and told us the story how she's never been to a grateful Dead show blah blah blah.. we got to talkin and then everybody kind of started to disappear.. so we told this young lady would you like to be our guest, and she said I would love to but again I don't have any money and I hope you guys are not asking for "SEX".. we busted out laughing and told her no we're not that type of deadheads. I said would you like to get a couple of beers before we head in.. we found the vendor drank about 6 Heinekens each. And went in.. not just because it was his birthday but it was actually a very good show and an awesome vibe. All of the gatecrashers, we're really starting to piss the security off their.. I definitely managed to get us backstage.. didn't see any huge birthday cake or anything like that.was talking to some of the Roadies which told us we're probably going to get thrown out since we're not wearing any passes.. she begged one of them and of course he gave her one and not us.. LOL.. so it pays in life to be beautiful.I did see a grill with them cooking a ridiculous amount of really good steaks. The Roadies gave us some beers and we were just hanging with them so we looked like we belong there. Then snuck by the side of the stage and just stay there and was dancing for the rest of the show. Then when they played their encore which was "Revolution". as the band was coming off the stage I managed to wave to fill and yell happy birthday and he gave just a nice friendly small and a quick bow.. I said hi to Bobby as he was coming off the stage stuck my hand out and he shook it.. and at that point the security told us we had to leave.. all three ended up wandering into the backfield of the capital Centre.. which was definitely like this is Niall and at night time.. LOL.. we didn't drop acid or eat any mushrooms..but us three just continue to drink beer and sit in the back field along with probably 20,000 other people.. and enjoyed ourselves.. that was the last dead show I ever went to with my buddy again.. and I never seen that deadhead girl again.. so if you remember the two guys giving you the ticket next to that tour bus that was me.. I hope your doing good and you read this and send me a message..
The lyrics to BTW are so singular; so perfect.
I’m impressed, Bob.
I wasn’t there; Far from it. I was home in Castleton, NY. A young 15 year old kid.
Bravo. What an incredible show.
