I like the extended solo in Touch of Grey...and Brent and Jerry dabble in the melodic chorus theme they did regularly after the recorded version in 87, too....see if you can pick that out!

    The Mothership!

Never missed a Hampton run starting with the Spring '86 tour. That was my home base. It was the perfect location to catch all the East Coast shows!

Week of January 15-21, 2024

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1982, 1983, and 1984.

Our first stop this week is the start of the second set from 4/12/82 at Nassau Coliseum, where we have Man Smart (Woman Smarter) > Sugaree ; Estimated Prophet > Uncle John's Band.

Next is the start of the second set from 4/10/83 in Morgantown, WV, where we have Touch Of Grey ; Man Smart (Woman Smarter); Uncle John's Band> Playing In The Band.

From the Mothership, the Hampton Coliseum, on 4/14/84, we have this great second set sequence featuring Playing In The Band> Terrapin Station> Space> Don't Need Love.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
