So I never much got into the Well, but have been at DNC since 99. Have made really good friends that came out of the computer - lifelong! My first show was in 1968 when I arrived in SF from the east coast. I'm still here and don't want to live anyplace else - although I've tried. Don't recognize many of you over here except (((Marye))). Good to see ya. It is interesting to see this latest version unfold. Much love to all, Rose

Hiya all!I joined on the previous incarnation of this forum but will reintroduce myself. Caught my first show in '84 and saw many until the very end in '95. My favorite era is '87 to '90. Some of the most inspired music played by this band happened in that period IMHO though I enjoy all eras. I'll tell more about myself later when I have more time.

I teach Spanish - Hola, Bob - and coach cross-country. Favorite Dead window is Fall '71 through 5/26/72. Love plenty, however, before and after. Was all or nothing at all on the bus from '77 to '82. Back on w/ release of Hundred Year Hall - just love hearing the Dead in those old theatre-type venues! Nos vemos.

Too old to remember, too young to have seen pig. So many roads to get to ?this? place. Long time deadicated moron whose background music is still the good old grateful dead. Knew a couple of WELL heads in the late 80's early 90's before disapeering into the jungles of Kauai for a decade....and that damn kreutzamnn followed me....ugh.... currently my cyber world is DNC. We'll see if this place has the moxie to stand up to a certain brand of weirdness that is required for my daily intake. If you like chocolate, then patronize my buisness www.lilliebellefarms.com. Its all I know how to do anymore. or dont...

We're just getting started here and things are pretty crazy, but for the moment you might want to look in the Grateful Dead section of the Forums, where there's a topic on all-time great versions of songs and most life-changing shows. That might give you something to start with while we're figuring out all this stuff! Thanks!

cool new board. i'm 25 and actually listen to metal more than anything. the grateful dead just seem to click with me. cool jamming and they know how to play. never been to a show that features anyone from GD though. i'm still kinda new to the grateful dead. is there a section where you can give and ask for recomendations for what shows to download or cd's to purchase?

Hey! I am Bamski from Brooklyn and I got on the bus in college and hit my first show in Pittsburg on 6-26-88 and hit about 30 shows along the way. Between the handful of DVDs and nearly 1000 digital songs, just about everyday is a different Dead show. Nothing like coming home from a long day at work and putting on some Dead and relaxing.

Hi there. My name is Evan and I am from very nothern new york near Canada but am attending college in Buffalo. Just wanted to make a shout in the hopes of becoming part of this awesome community. Unfortunately, because I was born in '87 I was never able to see the Dead. However I love them. The first time I ever heard any real Dead (beside like Truckin' or something) was in a car coming back from a golf game. My cousin's boyfriend Jason popped in Dick's Picks 17 and turned it to Franklin's Tower. I don't know whether is was Hornsby's piano or Jerry's guitar but I was blown away. I have been a hardcore fan ever since. The closest I have come since to seeing the Dead is seeing Ratdog at the FLPC center in Geneva. Shout out to anyone who was there. Take care all!

Glad to see you here! Always good to see the youth on the bus. Since this topic is getting quite huge, I'm launching a new version here. We look forward to making your acquaintance, folks, so don't be shy!
