    Another Fantastic Philly Show!

Actually, I do recall going to this show, even though I didn't recall being there until I recently listened to it. More simply, I live nearby and a bunch of us would go to the local Philly shows. By this time, it had been about eleven and a half years since my first Grateful Dead show. The whole show sounds great! Then again, why shouldn't it? God Bless The Grateful Dead!

    Love
I fell in love with a girl during these shows. I met her in Philly and told her the way I felt after the third show I think. She flew down to Florida to live with me for a very short time. She was very unhappy down here and eventually her ex-boyfriend flew down and took her home. I just thought she might see this and know that I still think of her occasionally. I fell in love with her, I don't think I ever told her that. I saw her that summer on tour and it was very difficult for me because I was still in love with her. Thank god she didn't go to every show.

    Wow.. this show was kill...
Wow.. this show was kill... I remember being 2nd level on Jerry's side, but a post was blocking my view of him... Doing copious amounts of vegetables that eve, the post was really bugging me... I told my buddy next to me and all he said was..' Don't let it bother you, he's only a person..' Man, did I ruminate on that one for a few songs.. I eventually moved.. From that vantage point I also remember the cool, expensive looking oriental carpet the boys were standing on... Brent's powerful voice on Tenessee Jed and Throwin/NFA also stands out... way cool show

All I can remember is that I thought they wouldn't play Wharf Rat since they played it in the opening night of the Civic Center run.

Loved the way they went into Help on the Way. One by one each guy joined in prior to Jerry going into the first verse. Great to see them in a smaller venue in the city of brotherly love..
