Welcome back!

Whether you're new here or a longtime resident of Dead.net, you may want a bit of assistance getting your bearings.

In the navigation bar at the top of the page:

The Store is the place for official Grateful Dead merchandise. It's the place to order things, and also launching pad for a lot of lively discussion, mostly in the thread for the most recent release.

Archive includes photos, artwork, memorabilia, etc. from the Grateful Dead's long history.

News is the place for announcements from Dead.net

Dead 101 has information about band and family members

Community is home to tape trading, tour tales, ticket exchange, numerous discussions and recommendations of everything from bands to books, and more.

But wait, where did that feature go?

Looking for Chat? Recent Posts? You'll find them in a menu that appears if you hover your cursor over your avatar photo up there in the upper right.

...Like me where the nice 'Shows and Lyrics' tab disappeared to, it is here: http://www.dead.net/shows-by-year (for now at least)...

Just type and press save. :-) You can even edit later if you make a mistake or have second thoughts about your facts. P.S. I suspect you might be inquiring about how to initiate a new thread. In that case, private message marye. My experience has been she'll point you to the right place!

Believe it or not

Believe it or Not is in Box of Rain(the book.) I'm inclined to make a song out of it. Is there a tune to it, and, if not, I'll compose one. Is there anything I need to know before doing so? --Uncle Fred

Smoothing out (again)

Well, the giant 4x or 6x screen is gone and there is now only a bit of newness to go through. Not that bad. However, the golden zenith of dead.net has been reached, never to be seen again, with it's warm tones and textures and (ugly) copyrighted pictures (unless you, like Jackson, thought these over-sized marks were cute.) It was cool. It was a trip. Now, it's reduced to ugly and boring and for sale.... The items therein, that is. Rhino's contract is up this year, right? (Sighhhh!)

Basic navigation doesn't work

Or it does work if you have a giant sized screen. Looking at dead.net and interacting with it is no longer an enjoyable experience. This happens with every computer I use. It's been happening since the two stores combined into one website. I wish somebody would fix it as it is practically unusable now and I'm sure I'm not the only person who is having this problem.

New dead.net look

I notice this new look to dead.net as of September 1, 2012 and I think it looks very nice.My hats off to the designers of this latest look to dead.net. Thank you!

My Shows

Apparently you don't find it.
I asked the same thing, received a reply stating it wouldn't be long, "they're working on it" but it looks like it isn't going to happen.

How do I change my mailing address? There's nowhere in My Profile that has my current address, just email and password. Don't want to miss my Dave's Picks subscription.

Input tool for shows attended is under my account in the drop down menu on the top right of the screen. Make sure to post some highlights of your favorites around, maybe your top highlights so we can all check them out. Thanks. Jeff

-edit- Just checked, and the tool may not be functional at the moment.
-edit 2- Just checked again and the means to check a show as attended is on each show's dedicated page. You can click a show as attended there. Just enter the show date in the search bar on the top right. I hope this helps!

dead.net/playinintheband-- cannot access interactive page

been trying for days to sign into the interactive 'jam along with the band' page- it requires an email so that i can be signed up for a newsletter whether i want it or not; once i hit 'submit' a Warner Bros media page opens and tells me i signed up for the newsletter, but the page doesnt change back to dead.net, I cant navigate back to the page- the email box reloads and never disappears, no matter how many newsletters I subscribe to. help, please

Looking to post a comment/question on the Deadcast episode for Tales of the Great Rumrunner but can't seem to find a way to do so. My question is, what version of Must Have Been The Roses is played at the very end of the show. It's an unbelievable snippet of a Garcia guitar solo. Must Have this version of MHBTR!
