Syracuse 10-20-1984---everyone should have this Jack Straw and an intense ShakedownMerriweather 06-26-1984---Casey Jones opener and a ride into heaven Philly 1986--can't remember the exact date but the Morning Dew was sooo special it still brings chills to my spine. Would also like to see the boys reissue the downloadables for the Dead toursm of 03 and 04.

I wish they would release a cd of a Deer Creek show from late eighties or early nineties. or a box set from all of them or a road trips with the best of each show. Deer Creek was always a head favorite place to see the boys. I had a lot of great and crazy times there. The riots in 95 sucked but I think a good release would over shadow that incident. I still have the ticket in perfect condition from the show that was cancelled due to the riots. I would also love to see a release from Cincinnati 1989. That was a very good show but I've had a hard time finding a great copy. Please don't forget the Heads from the midwest. The Alpine dvd was good but I would like to see more.

A road trips #2 would be perfect. A whole show from the already highlighted fall 79 tour would be cool. Something that isn't on Road trips #1. Also 4/29/72 that we heard the track from on mondays tapers section would be cool. I'd like all of europe 72 someday. Why not get started. One more I would love something from the 86-89 time I don't think I have any live material from this time and I can't find any official releases either.

Phil, in his bio, talks about his last set with Jerry - Black Muddy River, and then Phil adds Box of Rain. That would be a wonderful show to have. Is it published?

The first "The Weight" very special...on my audience tape the roar that goes up is amazing. The Cumberland Blues" that precedes it, and "Hey Pocky way" after is smokin' Also "Fooloish Heart" second set opener is sweet, not many of those (if any) ? have been released... Thanks, Mike

Marye, I have what I consider to be a damn brilliant idea! It is so blindingly good though that I think I could not possibly tell anyone unless I am sure to get some kind of credit for the idea. Who should I talk to about this? Are you kind?

I will gladly stand in front of the Tsunami of new releases ready to snatch them up. Hooray. Finally some news. I was starting to wonder for a while there but now feel excited again.

I’m thinking based on the clue offered for Dave’s 50, specifically the reference to “show (shows…?)” and the timing being right,… leads me to believe the show is the Watkins Glen summer jam and the bonus disc is the sound check. I did some quick math at archive.org and it looks like the show would fit on three discs with about 15 min to spare, and that the sound check would almost fit on one, with the need for last song on the other discs.

As is well known, there are Owsley tapes for both days and even though widely available (in so so quality) already, this show deserves the official release, plangent process and all. Here’s hoping I’m right on this guess.
