    A Gem Indeed

This entire show is a must listen, The Boys (and Donna) were at a peek level of performance.

    Hints

Today's selection may be obvious to some but we are gettin' a little loose with the hints here.

Thanks Dave and everyone else!
Fourteen days in and 4 hours and 45 minutes of free tunes.

Why yes it is! I've been playing for about ten years. Success rate is about 60%, with the first couple years being around 20%. The more you play, the better you get! I won a calendar once and consider myself to be very lucky indeed. Keep on Truckin'! I think many of the veteran players would say the same.

Dave is definitely on fire this month. I couldn't imagine what he goes through to do this for us fans. What an edition to the second set.
Upside out or inside down
False alarm the BEST GAME in town!

I was going to say that, but though it might be to much. Not wrong though this night was one for the ages.

Just logged on. Just started listening. Read the comments. Nothing to scathing on there. For a calendar. So my question is " Is not having Uptown Toodeloo a clue or question or typo?" For a band that was anti authoritarian we sure are sticklers round these parts.

you gave a hint while telling someone to not give hints

Edit: what I meant to say was "you gave an answer while telling someone not to give an answer" in this chat........everybody just relax, we got you all night long (Harpur College)

Hints have always been part of the game. I appreciate a clever or mysterious hint. The date of show is a no no. I have been here since the beginning so please post clever hints

half way through 30 Days and still so called 'newbies' can't figure out the rules...how sad
how helpless many people are that they won't even scroll down to the BOTTOM OF THE PAGE...ya know...poke around???
Maybe the moderator will include directions next year for the handicapable..or just drop the comments and avoid all the whining, altogether

In my 9 years of doing this, I've never seen anyone put an answer in the comments. Now I've seen 2 in two days. Reflective of the state of the country...

there have been a goodly number of easy ones this year and only one practically impossible one so far. Don't want to jinx it but just sayin'.
The dude never said it was his guess but it does give too much away. That said, it is not a difficult one.
Cheers and good luck to all
Edit: Nice sweet Bird Song, Great set list. May have to go look for this one.

Love when the hunt is not too hard which allows a little time to poke around, then time for the full show or what's available, and maybe some time for shows that peaked our interest along the way.

I loves me some half-step!! I was at the Rio Grande near Taos. Quite dramatic and beautiful.

Year is a giveaway based on going directly into the Half Step coda without an instrumental break. Notice how I’m not giving away the exact show like others seem apt to do, but it was an easy find.

Clever Hints- Yes, Giving Show Hints- No, Wrong Show Hints- ??.
I rarely look at comments before entering anyways.

To my ears, what we have here are 3 classic GD tunes played as well as I've ever heard. Even despite the unfortunate one and one-half second drop out at twenty-eight thirty-five during Bird Song. And they played the shit out of that Tuning song at this show as well.

Thanks for sharing these extra special goodies! Toodeloo till tomorrow.

I'm on my way, thinking I have gotten 12 of the 14 Days.
If you hear that same sweet song again, odds are it's from a completely different era...
All I know is something like this show would have been an awesome experience.
Farewell to you old Day 14, what's to be found, racing around these next 16 Days?
Enjoy this trio everyone, I'm gone, goodbye...

I fall in love with Bird Song more every time I hear it, no matter the era, no matter the venue. Great job this year so far, keep it up!

Hey, I agree. Haven't meet a Birdsong I didn't like.

Might be a dumb question, but here it is. Is there a way to enter the date in the contest without having to scroll back from 2024? It is brutal.

DV - my experience is that it presents as a mm/dd/yyyy entry field - click on it and you simply enter the date. Never have encountered the date scroll I think?

Yes, when I click on it, the calendar pops up. Can't do a manual entry.

I use a laptop. If I click on the calendar icon, I have to scroll back. But below 'Show Date,' if I click on the mm of the mm/dd/yyyy, I can just type in the date. Good luck!

I’ve found that on the laptop I can enter manually but on the iPhone I have to scroll down from 2024

Blimey. We're not even half way through the month and already that's 4 hours and 45 minutes of listening delights. Thanks Dave and Team GD!

my first guess is that it is browser related? Also maybe desktop vs mobile device? I'm running Firefox for Mac. Always logged in on desktop.

Edit - I think desktop vs mobile.

Stepped outside and caught a fine full moon a rising. It's officially tomorrow. As close as I'll get. If you have clear skies it's worth the peak.

Be patient. You will get an email in due time. I won once and it took several weeks before getting an email. Your calendar will come. Congratulations on being a winner!

I've yet to hear from anyone that has won the grand prize after all these years.
