    That Cold Rain & Snow

Help!!! The Cold Rain from 10/28/84 is full of glitches!!!! it is fugly, I downloaded the MP3 file the morning of the 19th (Tuesday) and it does not playback well. Did David L. swap it out yet for a better version? Was he made aware of this grievous error???

    just me?

Am I the only who has the feeling we are going to wake up Thanksgiving morning with a search for "Drums"? Not that it would be horrible in any way, just a real time-consuming search as we prepare to feast.

How about this show..... Listen to it in its entirety. Phils BOMB bass is at it all show long. Great voice for your dad PHIL. I tripped over a great Tom Thumb yesterday, just amazes me how wonderful this Man was in his musical science.

Listening to this, groggy and sipping first coffee, needing to head out to work shortly, and deep in the remote recesses of my aging brain I have a thought - "this *sounds* like "X" show when we were second row center, not that show but . . . ."

And lo and behold . . . .

Have a grateful day folks.

The show after this one was a high point for me and we all harmonically converged. I propose we converge harmonically again to pray/meditate/ruminate (whatever works for you) on Love and Peace.

Peace be with you.

I was at a Davie Bowie show this night, one thing led to another (as they often do) and I ended up in the hoosegow. While waiting for morning I met several heads who were at this show, had some great conversations, heard some amazing stories and this experience ignited something inside me....not long after I was on the Bus for Life.

those chants from the crowd bring a tear to my eye today. A lot of love for Phil this 30 Days. Thanks and peace.

And this show includes a first ever for the Grateful Dead. It would have been a lot of fun to be at this show, in that place at that time. The crowd certainly seems to be enjoying themselves.

Speaking of other selves, someone posted here a few days back about "feeling" the music. Like visually in colors/textures/senses etc. I too occasionally get these sensations with certain music. Far From Me is a good example. There's something about the flow of this tune that makes me feel the sensation of being on a big swing, going back and forth, higher and higher.

Nice to hear from Phil. Such a short time to be here. I don't recall many Box Of Rain's being offered on 30DOD? Maybe some of you kind record keeping types could address this?

You could almost close your eyes to see this trio in your various research tools.
Maybe you'll find direction in many different avenues.
It doesn't seem you really have to spend too much time to see clear through some of these Days offerings.
Just a short time to be there along the next 9 Days.
Loving the multiple tunes!
Thanks again David and the Grateful Dead family for sharing these gems.

I wouldn't want to forget anyone, and if I did (of course, I did), my apologies in advance. I appreciate Jack Kerouac's 'On The Road', the Beat writers and City Lights Bookstore/Lawrence Ferlinghetti, the Beatniks and Poets such as Allen Ginseberg, Cowboy Neal Cassady driving the original bus with Ken Kesey and The Merry Pranksters, including Ken Babbs and Mountain Girl, and appreciate sound guys Owsley Stanley III aka Bear, Dan Healy, Don Pearson, Harry Popick, lights guru Candance Brightman, Taper extraodinaire Betty Cantor, Promoters Bill Graham, Chet Helms, musicians Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Band, Allman Brothers, Miles Davis, all members full/part time related to GOGD and solo projects, and Vault heros Dick Latvala and David Lemieux et al. WALSTIB, and it wouldn't be what is was/is without all of you. Give yourselves a big round of applause, we are all grateful, we are everywhere.

Contest Day - backend
