The two tours that surrounded the Fall Tour of 1976 (Summer 1976's comeback tour, and Spring 1977's tour of excellence) often overshadow this tour, but there are many great nights from September and early October 1976, including this great show in Indianapolis

    One More Saturday Night

No, not the song from yesterday. Tomorrow's final day of the 30 Days. My best year yet, but no win. Hoping they are saving me for the grand prize. Win or lose, it has been a great ride again.

    support the Archive !

    i'm agreeing with @ever grateful.

please, if you can spare any loose change, give what you can to the Internet Archive, one of the places where the 'net is the best it can be.

    the strangest of places

one of the things i especially love about 30 Days is when i am pointed to a show i have missed out on. yesterday's is a perfect example, as i don't listen to that final year much (or even after Brent, no offense to Vince) because it often just makes me sad.

but then here's this amazing show, with Jerry sounding awake, engaged and energized. what a blast !

so thanks again to Dave and Marye and all the crew that give us this game every year, and thanks to the unique community we have here. this year this place of joy has been even more important than in the past.

and i am Forever Grateful to the musicians and family that made this music !

looking forward to seeing y'all next year.

been a fun and easy year with a giant pile of great tunes to show for it. did you catch the rain at the end of the spectrum show? one of the better versions. anyone else been jiving on the winterland 77 from couple days ago? listened to it every day since. thanks Dave and 30 days. Let's meet back here in a year and see how far into dystopia we've devolved. Take care and good luck

Over 10 hours of free music is a great early Christmas Present. As hornsby said, been an easy year. All the best to all of you!

If that isn't straight out of a detective movie, I wouldn't know what is. Obviously stated but I can't understand why. Could be due to some other things taking place that year? IMO this tour rocks from start to finish.

10 years traveling this bus and ever Grateful for the 30 Days sucking me into such a pleasant trip. Hours and hours of free & GRATEFUL tunes, great banter amongst these fans/heads, as well as the occasional throwing stones for a repeat or sound quality of a chosen track.
Thanks Dead, thanks Dave, thanks to all of you for being here sharing as you do!

Truly thankful for the Grateful Dead.
I didn't have the chance to participate yesterday. Set out running and took my time to be with the family.
Today's trio was easier than putting gravy on the mashed potatoes.
Have a feeling you & me bound to spend more time on the last Day.
How can November almost be over?
I vote for 365 Days of Dead.
Wonder if David has ever considered posting results or statistics for how many people get each day correct and the the most Dedicated throughout the 30 Days. Would be fun to evaluate.

I still have to finish yesterdays show and have to queue this one up too. More cooking and leftovers. So nice to have the time for this search today.

How about the great spread and moving across eras? All the years combined ... just loving it.

I knew i'd see blue crow and firstshow78 there. Blue crow actually called this show 3 weeks ago. Dave and co are awesome . Another year gone by. Tomorrow we get our zip file. No idea who won and no conversation. Have a most wonderful year ya all. Horrible October and I even celebrated my b-day with Bobby. Same day not with. Had direct hits from Helene and Milton. This was the true distraction I needed. And it's almost over. I'll see some of you on Mondays i'm sure. Everyone be safe.

Did anyone tell you that there is more free music on this site. When we down load each day you see the box with the time and a speaker then 3 dots. click the dots and Download comes up. Now if you go to the music tab you will see music for sale. click on a show. Go to listening parties and you will see the same box with the three dots. It has a set list. I just clicked 2 shows and there are 5 very lengthy downloads. All free from the guy that places clues so we Trip over them. You mentioned the new to the site need to be guided by the older folks. Someone turned me on. Here's to ya.

Thanks for the tip. Not sure exactly why The Bus took me. Something innate... a rock bottom belief.... something that just is.

Sending out a reminder that Archive dot org is facing immense challenges to their mission of providing free music, literature, films, history, etc. to everyone worldwide. As they stand up to lawsuits challenging their mission, I hope you will join me in contributing to this INVALUABLE resource.

I can't begin to count how often Archive has contributed to me listening to the Dead....and of course is a great asset to searching for 30 Days of Dead. Even other sites, like Setlists, Relisten, Jerrybase, etc. often refer & link to Archive. So, I hope you'll lend your support as you're able!

Peace!

Our dear brother, Ed, is doing 31 Days of Dead again this year (yay!). If you want to continue community for another month, check it out. If you don't know about it, here's the scoop:
"Similar to what dead dot net does in November, I pick a live track for download each day in December with an accompanying write-up. Unlike the “30 Days of Dead,” there is no contest here. Instead, the prize is the music and the winner is the listener."

To find it, search for 31 Days of Dead on Instagram.
Hope to see you there!

Have to agree - not only yesterday, but today's show as well (another that I forgot I had stumbled upon before). Not without a few minor flaws, but a number of really satisfying versions, this trio included. Nice, laid back FOTD with some choice keys, and what a beautiful blend of the voices!
BTW, an easy show to find, but here's a crumb: this venue was also the scene of the last concert by a very well known American star.
Thanks again to Dave for this year's bountiful harvest and to all of you for comments and encouragement. Here's to the good old Grateful Dead - and the Archive.

Been playing the 30 Days guessing game since it started - such a great tradition. Been going to shows since 1973 and made it to quite a few, including ones that show up here. I have a good track record, mostly correct but I have never won any of the days. Yesterday was such a casual toss off for me - I got it in a single guess, submitted my answer and headed off to the Family T-Day. Slept late, just checked in here, found out I've won! It's gratifying and I'm grateful! Thanks for all your work on this, Dave!
As always I'm grateful for the band, the music and the community! And Archive.org. Become a contributing member. You can make a small monthly donation every month - it's easy to setup! Archive.org is invaluable, help keep it going!

According to my notes 1970 is the only year which has had a song every DoD year.
1971 - every year except this one (thus far).

EDIT - chart removed, formatting is horrible

THAT FOTD is the most crystal clear sync I've listened to here. Keyboard solo at 4 minutes was amazing. All three tracks are fantastic and new favorites for me. Lots of thanks to CM and DG and DL for sharing.

Happy Trails to all of you grateful participants here till next year and to those who play, record, transfer, master, and ultimately share with us here for FREE.

except that it's fall camp. It's been fun hangin' with y'all, as if we went hiking, swimming, tried archery, and making s'mores while telling ghost stories during the nightly camp fire. Missin' y'all already. May the 4 winds blow you safely home, go for a walk along the Black Muddy River, and play in the Heart of Gold Band as the whistle screams Terrapin. See you 'round the bend, thank you, and good night.

It seems like only a few have been moderately difficult. I sure have enjoyed this year's selections, though. I've been playing every year since the beginning and have never had a perfect month, nor won a calendar. this year I only missed 3 so far. After tomorrow, I'll miss the daily banter!
