    Grateful Dead Hour no. 87

    Week of May 21, 1990

    Grateful Dead 3/19/90 Hartford Civic Center
    BOX OF RAIN
    FOOLISH HEART

    Interview Mickey Hart

    Grateful Dead 3/19/90 Hartford Civic Center
    JAM ->
    CHINA DOLL ->
    GIMME SOME LOVIN' ->
    GOIN' DOWN THE ROAD FEELIN' BAD ->
    AROUND AND AROUND

    The second of two parts.

    Mickey Hart is interviewed by WHCN afternoon drive personality Lich, who asks (among many other questions) about a rumor that Phil Lesh is planning to leave the band after the October European tour. "There's nothing to these rumors," Mickey replies. "Maybe somebody's out there trying to cause unrest...."

    The rumor persisted for a couple of months, until Phil put it to rest in a speech from the stage at Cal Expo in June: "It's a bullshit lie!"

    Interviews and music courtesy of WHCN Hartford. Special thanks to Bob Smith.

    Since no one else has complained of this condition, it's probably something at your end. Canyou doa forced reload of the stream? (On a Mac, I think that's option-refresh). GD Hour blog Station list

Any show is fine! As I live in The Netherlands I have never had the chance to hear any of the shows. I have heard that they were broadcasted and I envied the people that could listen to these shows. Now with the newer possibillities of the Internet I can (belated) listen to them here in my home (on board as we live on a sailing ship). I am delighted! I just read about the plans te broadcast 24/7. Even better. Thank you for making this all possible. Ship of Fools

but what happened to the 24-hour thing?am I just spaced out an surfing by that option? I like clicking it on and leaving it on in the shop............... of course, many walk in and ask: "what is that you are listening to?" and I respond: "you do not know?" after almost 40 years, I am still wielding the torch................theirs was never lit. so sad.

Kiwi Dead Head is right. The interview does cut off. Only about half of the show appears to be there.

If anyone is still wondering, the Media Player stream still only gives half the show. After some persistence I got Quicktime to work and that has the entire stream. So, in short, try that if you want to hear the rest of the interview.
