Rain, 64 degrees in NW New Jersey. We do need it though. 2+ weeks ago it was a warm dustbowl with high level fire warnings, at least Smokey said so. Forcast is possible frost Sun night. Hope SoCal is doing better, havnt seen the news today.

if you go back to page 2 of this thread you can see the full collection of 5:15 clocks in our house. the two brown clocks look similar, but they were made by two different makers. one was 'Made in Occupied Japan' which I picked up in an antique shop for about $35 in Kinki, Japan a few years ago. probably about 50 years old now, both of those clocks have nice tones when the clocks strike 5:15! peace.

yah one of my clientes is a avide collector,she was ol'airforce wife so has traveled all over her and late husband,went to lotes of auctions and estate sales.one piece kinda looks like one she makes me wind yes i become the winder of clocks ha,ha. peace

I reckon the guy selling the clock could not understand English very well, because whenI asked him how old it was, he said, maybe about 15 - 20 years old. so with some hard bargaining, (learned on tour) I got the price down by about half of his original asking price. later I pointed out the markings on it, and mentioned that it was made soon after the war as I was leaving the shop.

Why does it not surprise me...

...that SF isn't having financial troubles and will have fireworks? As we say in our business (and a lot of others,) it's the D-I-N-Ks. They put a lot of money in the tax coffers.

hope you had good AC in the truck... It is a gorgeous summer day in the Bay Area, unless you like fog. Rumor has it we may actually be able to see the fireworks tonight. This is somewhat unusual. Also ironic, as many cities have canceled their shows due to the economy, but SF's is due to go on as planned.

Tornado warnings....

i couldn't believe that we had tornado weather here in the northeast one touched down in springfield mass... holly shit... i am about 60 miles to the canadain border and the ski was looking very scary...but besides those few days fairly average for this time of year.

Not that I really want it to rain while I am home but the wildfires are burning in north east Florida..its tough to even enjoy a full day outside without having your eyes burn from the smoke.. Look twice save a life, motorcycles are everywhere . Thank you !!
