    What it was..
Went to the 29th and 30th shows then heard Merl was playing w/ Reconstruction in the Haight and decided to go to that show instead. When the show ended we rode our bikes over to Winterland. We got off our bikes walked up to the back door and simply asked if we could go in. I left my custom bike unlocked outside the back door of Winterland, walked right up to the front of the stage and when I came back out my bike was still there, I had no doubts it would be. Such is the charm of a perfect world...

    The Music Never Stops
I wasn't at this show, but I have the show on 3 CDs. My kids are crazy about this show. My 13 year old thnks that The Music Never Stops is the greatest song ever (she hums the guitar solo note for note). My 8 year old is downstairs singing along to the same song with a print out of the lyrics clutched in her hot little hand. And don't get me started on the version of Friend of the Devil in this show. The slowed down tempo and very cool classical borrowings in the solo make a very great song even greater. What a treat!

well really just my 2nd. First show that doesn't have a good story to go with it. Just a good solid show on the home court. Always loved the Winterland shows. Pretty relaxed especially compared to the east coast shows I was more accustomed to.
