We're getting a lot of folks asking where to send corrections for assorted errors they've found in the show archives. Maybe they didn't really play "Saint of Circumstance" that night. Maybe we have the band at the Meadowlands when they were really at MSG. Maybe the boys are simultaneously in Philadelphia and Phoenix. Whatever mistakes you've found, this is the place to report them. Please include this information to make it easier for the tech folks to deal with: The date and/or URL of the show in question (for example, https://www.dead.net/show/june-21-1980) A detailed description of the problem (for example, wrong town, wrong venue, no "St. Stephen," etc.) The source of your information (for example, DeadBase, notes on your tape, "Hey, I was in the front row and I'll never forget it!") Thank you! (Note: once we've made the corrections, we will delete the posts to reduce confusion and redundancy. If your post disappears, that doesn't mean we're not Grateful. Quite the reverse.)

BoneYou have this show listed as being at The Music Box in Nebraska, it wasn't. I was at this show, along with half a dozen friends, in Kansas City, Kansas, (Soldiers And Sailors Memorial Hall) and I remember it well. The Dead opened for Iron Butterfly that night.

As ds points out on the page for this show, the location was Columbus OH, not Berkeley. See GD: The Illustrated Trip, plus the fact that they were in Pittsburgh the day before and Lexington KY on the 21st.

You have this show listed as being at the Seattle Center Coliseum.I recall it being at tthe Seattle Center ARENA, these ar 2 different buldings on the same grounds, The Arena being an 8,000 seat venue as opposed to the 15,000 seat Coliseum. I actually recall this show pretty vividly as it was my 1st GD show and was prior to my indulgence in any sort of experience enhancing substances. This show marked me for life. I do believe the correct venue was the ARENA. Thanks Robert Swanson

appears to be missing from the Songs section. Or at least if it's there, it's not filed under C where one might expect to find it. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

Scarletfire SLC is right..... The encore was Brokedown Palace, a perfect way to cap one of the finest performances I ever heard.... The band was on fire during that Phoenix-Denver December run, and i will remember those 5 shows fondly forever..... Matthew

There is no listing for the Vegas Silver Bowl show on Sat. 4-27-91...... They played 2 vegas shows that year, not just the 1 listed (4-28-91) . Both shows were strong that year, and the 1st set on 4-27-91 ended with a fine version of Might As Well, with Garcia really getting in some good yelps at the end of the tune......

I am sure I remember them playing Brokedown as an encore at this show. I remember because I was hanging up at the top of the hill w/my friend Jim who was having a difficult trip & this song was so appropriate since we were both going our separate ways after the show. It was touching. I never saw him again in fact, but hope he's well.

ooo - ooo - oooo, nothing's gonna bring him back..... Seems like it's been a really LONG time since I offered corrective measures for 10/26/72, 10/28/72, and 12/6/73. When will the setlist revisions occur? If you need the specifics again, please let me know.

This is an incorrect date. The first St Louis area appearances were 2 performances at the National Guard Armory, May 24 and 25th, 1968. A local group the PUBLIC SERVICE BLUES BAND (not the Iron Butterfly) opened for the Dead both nights. I attended the second performance, on May 25. (Note that the Iron Butterfly was NOT on this bill with them, but on the Feb 6 1969 appearance at Keil Opera House. The Dead opened the concert, based on the toss of a coin. I attended this performance.)

http://www.deadbase.com The Deadbase site, and Dick's Picks, list MANU. This site and my Deadbase VII, have Jack Straw as the second song of the second set instead. http://www.dead.net/show/september-27-1972 MAMU was played on the 26th, Jack Straw was not. In any case, I'd love to know what the actual set list was, and if the Dick's Picks list is wrong, that probably needs annotated as well.

While listening to GD Radio play-back the Cotterell Gym show from Nov. 4, 1977 Hamilton NY. I was reading the comments posted and picked up that prior show was in Toronto, not Cincinnati. Here is what "Tone Monster" wrote that help me catch this venue mistake. I was the "stage manager" for this show at Colgate. Basically in charge of helping the road crew load and off load. As soon as they got there the head roadie asked me if I could get them any drugs. "Like what ? " I asked. Anything; we just came across the border (from Canada) so we have nothing. I rounded up some pot, uppers and ludes from some dealers I knew who were pleased to be providing the Dead with some recreational diversions. Sat backstage for the whole show but don't remember much so it's great to revisit the set list and peoples comments about the show. Cub Sez: Cheers !

There is an error in the song list. The last but one song is Standing on The Moon, not Stander on the Mountain. DeadBase agrees, so does the cd I've just played of this show.

Berkeley set up an event for that Sunday, which cause the (last ever) Greek show to be the Saturday (8/19) epic show which none of us will ever forget (killer Wharf Rat)! So there is a "phantom" show or mirror image of your ticket which was Thurs/17 - do not ever listen to a note of this show. My take is the boys knew that the faithful would not be able to make this show due to last-minute travel changes, and subconsciously or not make it forgettable in the extreme. Honestly, it does not even sound like music. As great as 8/19 was and is, 8/17/89 is "a date which will live in infamy." Conversely, 8/18/89, Friday, was a perfectly good show (and I called the set opener, sang it to myself all the way there on BART - true story). Peace, fellow traveller, and get yo'self a copy of 8/19 (it was on KPFA and elsewhere, so there are good copies circulating. DtM

This show is actually February-25-1990 It is listed as January 25th when you look at shows by date. I was there and remember it somewhat...it was that good. hugs, Frankie Lee

Nothing wrong with this date but your missing the Bust Benifit the week before, Oct. 22, 1967 at Winterland. The Dead, Big Brother and QSMS. The Dead only did one set because Jerry was indisposed by the new purple acid that made its appearance at this concert.

They really don't care and won't fix it. I wouldn't waste your time. At least that's the impression I get since they've never fixed anything in 5 years. Sorry to be a bummer.

You made me smile, wilfredtjones. They did fix something for me when the site was new. It was the location of my first show on June 17th, '66. The city listed was incorrect. I remember asking if they are going to take my word on it and "yes, they will, at least until someone comes along and says that isn't correct." I still have the handbill. Peace & lots of Music

Spanish jam actually preceded Wharf Rat (in reverse of the order still showing there; though there was a brief bit of Wharf Rat-yness, instrumentally, in the Other One that Spanish jam came from). Documentation: the bonus disc to the 2012 Dave's Picks subscription.

So where's 3-20-91, Capital Centre 3RD night? Best night of the stand! : ) ***UPDATE ~ ok, found it, but it's not wedged between the correct two shows. Pull it up and you'll see what I mean (or pull up 3/18/91...goes to 3/21 as next show instead of this one). If this is the anyone's biggest problem, the world is safe. But just sayin'.

Judging from this comment I guess I'm becoming one of those G-d dang picky deadheads. Many sources have this show being at Brendan Byrne Arena, I've come to discover that the full name was Brendan Byrne Arena at Meadowlands Sports Complex, East Rutherford, NJ. Now there's a corporate name for the place (which can change every year) that screws up our venues listing, but we can deal with it. I like to stick with the venue's original name on more recent live shows. I know you've heard it before, but, Have a Jerry Christmas and a Happy New Weir!!!

I was in attendance for the three shows at Nassau Coliseum, which we call the "three days in the saddle."The page for this show can not be brought up from page for the prior show 11/01/1979. It shows the next show as Providence Civic Center - November 4, 1979. For the 11/02/1979 page, the previous show is shown as Cumberland County Civic Center - May 13, 1979 and the next show is shown as Kiel Auditorium - December 9, 1979.

We played the first dance Bill Graham had at the Fillmore and almost nobody knows it. This is a chance to set the record straight. My band, the Vipers, played first that night. We were not on the posters, and in the Chronicle the next day Ralph Gleason referred to us as the VIPs. One historian who has dug into it mentions us: http://rockarchaeology101.blogspot.com/2010/03/1805-geary-blvd-san-fran… See the sentence with the link to Mount Rushmore and follow the link. I'm in touch with the other 3 members from that night 47+ years ago. You can interview all of us if you want to fill in the details of how it happened.

I always forget that it was not only the first dance at the Fillmore but the Warlocks first appearance as the Grateful Dead. You may be interested in my attempt to place it in the context of a life. I attended the Big Beat Acid Test the next night. A pretty big weekend for a 21 year old, soon to be a Stanford drop-out.
