    Fabled venue, fabled show
You can see the details in comments in show's date thread, but these were monster shows. I remember walking into this old hockey arena holding maybe 7000 and having a lovely feeling. It was set among sand dunes on the Cape, with woods surrounding. People were camping, it was delightful. The date of these shows was 10/27 and 10/28, 1979. They did a He's Gone>Caution Jam>Other One, their second to the last Caution Jam ever. I remember being a young deadhead and being bummed that they played Franklin's two nights in a row. People were still hoping for a Dark Star, last played that year at Shea's on 1/20/79. No such luck. Great people at this show. My first peyote experience. Unbelievable! Going back to 3rd Mesa soon in AZ to repeat with the Hopi/Navajo tribe. Little did I know. If you haven't heard these go to Archive or E-Tree. They are well worth a listen. Matter of fact, think I'll do it myself! Have a Grateful Day!

    Squished
I vaguely remember driving to the show from Bryant, standing on line outside (in the cold?), getting close to the stage, and getting smooshed for the whole first set. Worth it though.

    Had to relinquish the wheel
My friend had brought something he called synthysized organic mesculin. The floor was rising up infront of me in slow moving spirals. We had to get back to Boston, I think my girlfriend ended up driving because she was the most straight.

This was 7 miles from my house. Saw my first ever concert here: Charlie Daniels Band. I think it was in 1976. Man I am getting old. These shows were hot. Have never heard good quality tapes from these shows though. The acoustics sucked. FYI: Vince McMahon owned it back then and thats were he started out WWF or WWE or whatever the hell it is called now.
