I wish to Inform the Deadhead community that my Best Friend in the entire world as passed and any fellow heads that would know him (and there were many, many heads)should know that this happened, particularily Tony in Portland that i do not know how to contact but I saw at the 2004 show there with the Dead. Andy was a model deadhead in his belief system or principals. Jerry would of have been proud to call him friend , he never wanted to be a typical fan or hassle anyone at anytime. He was my music partner we went to so many shows together , the ones on my profile is a small sampling. His knowledge of the music and the Dead plus numerous other band community was like a library of knowledge , The vault people could of used Andy. The following is his Obit and the DEADHEADS worldwide weather you knew him or not, should heed to his passing. His story is 30 years plus and amazing. It would take more space than I'm provided to tell the story from beginning to end. I have been given his music collection , which is quite extensive in tapes as well as CD's , Probably more than 3000 pieces or more. I will be cataloging this collection of live shows and all. The following is the OBIT , My Tears have flown for three days now since I found out. Yesterday was the big day for the furneral and being with his family. I have known Andy since we were 15 years old. At the beginning of 2007 I got a really bad case of food poisoning and ended up being misdiagnosed as a schizophrenic. I was subsequently held in psychiatric facilities for 1.5 months before being released without any explanation as to how they supposed my "mental illness" was "all better". I've spoken with an attorney in my homestate of Pennsylvania (a deadhead) and I've been told that I have a legitimate case, but need to find family to represent me. I'm grateful for any help anyone can offer! Thanks and keep on truckin'! Joseph http://www.photonicbeing.org

It's been awhile since i was in action, but it would be nice to hear from old friends I knew on tour... You see it's a Black Peter issue, as I am battling cancer.. I am about 3 hours from san fran, and I feel like the family can help me heal, and deal with this issue. And new friends are always welcome to chat with me, after all that's what family is all about. Love and respect. "Dead ahead forward never straight" tiedye

I am looking for Jason Pizzo...he is the person that originally got me into the Dead...I guess I have to be grateful for that any way. We split up very unfriendly like and I just would like to apologize for my part in it....although not for the left hook in P'town...he kinda had that comin'.... I know he is in Vermont, probably Burlington...and I know that he just lost about everything he owned in a fire where he was living, as I saw it in the local paper from up there....but I dont know where he is now... If anyone up there reads this, and knows him, please tell him to e-mail me @ patriot.gyrl65@yahoo.com...... Tell him I said to get himself a can o' peas....

I just wanted to send out a hi to Eileen Law. Hope you doing wonderfully and are fullsteam into the pursuit of happiness. I wrote you years back re: my brother being one of the first to subscribe to being a "deadhead', my first concert on his wedding day being the wall of sound debut march 23 1974 at the cow palace, and your effort's always meant so much to me and you are someone I will always treasure in my mind as a warm and beautiful person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for this long strange trip that it has been. love and peace,pk

You know who you are! I used to chat with you on 40M and and repeaters up and down the coast. You used to come up to my car because it had call plates and antennas all over it (at the time in 88-90 had a white nissan sentra with my N6PPS plates) and we would talk shows and eqpt. while getting strange. We would also find ourselves in mid chat around the soundboard during shows. We would run into each other from LA shows to SF/Sac shows. I also met a few of you in Phoenix and Vegas before/during/after shows.... Where are you? PM me and we'll sched on HF or IRLP/Echolink Peace DE KJ7XJ CN87tf

Hey Annie! You were an unemployed architect from Connecticut who lived in the city. You made hippie beaded necklaces for a living and volunteered at the Warfield. We met on a plane from SFO --> PHX and rented a car together for the shows in Dec. 1992. You lived in an apartment near Delores Park and your neighbor was in the SF symphony or ballet or something? Remember the "Peace March" against the 1st Iraqi War from Delores Park to City Hall? Remember the morning of the march the Urban Foresters were planting trees along the street on your block? I think their goal was to plant ten thousand trees throughout the city. Remember during the march, the kid who climbed up the light post and yelled at the crowd? "What do we want?!!!" The crowd's response, "TO END THE WAR!" When do we want it?!! "RIGHT NOW!" We danced to the music on the square at City Hall after the march. I think I was the only one wearing slacks and a button-down shirt. Hey Annie! Where are you?
