I sat in the 3rd row for this one...and by chance... I met a guy I knew from the 5 Towns who had the seat next to me. Got the opportunity to see Jerry, Bob, and Phil up close for an entire show... Experiencing Bird Song, To Lay Me Down, China-Rider, and Sugar Mag up-close like that was mind-blowing. One other observation: Watching the NY crowd go nuts over Masterpiece really was something... At this point in time... The Dead was so on their game, and some of the newer songs in the rotation like Pocky Way and Masterpiece were so well-received...

This was my second show (after a miserable 4-3-88) and loved all of it. We took the train from Ct. Met this guy who played guitar on the new Ramones record (Johnny couldnt play lead for shit). The show hit some of my favorite tunes...To Lay Me Down, Bird Song, China Rider, Terrapin, Estimated. We heard a Dark Star tease before China Cat and thought they were gonna bust it out. Amazing show that i still love to listen to again and again. "Music is the best" - FZ
