Fun show for me, my first Dire Wolf followed by my first BIODTL! Then in the second set, after many in attendance mooned Weir, we got the unusual Uncle John's sandwich on a Cassidy bun! A little rough on the second transition, but you gotta give 'em credit for tryin'! Wave To The Wind was a favorite of mine to hear Phil sing!! ". . . Music is the best!" (fz)

This was 1 of my many travel for business and see the Dead bonuses. There was a few years there were I got to see them in places other than my home area - NYC - which was a treat. Cal Expo was nice venue. Really laid back and easy to get around in. The Cassidy/Uncle John's was a surprise. The Same Thing, I recall, being nice. I remember a mom there with her son working on math problems during the break. I was there with my daughter's baby sitter who had headed to college at Stanford. Smart kid. She would baby sit and listen to all my vinyl. At one point, I asked her parents, who claimed to have been at Woodstock, if I could take her to a show. No Joe Piscapo or Woody Allen stuff - purely mentoring with the best of intentions and outcome. Rock on Angie Baby!
