The Night I Lost Everything
There was an awful traffic jam leading up to the arena. The van full of folks I had been traveling with since the show in Pittsburgh had arrived late, and it looked like we were going to miss the start of the show. Myself and one of the girls in the van already had tickets and decided we were going to bail the van and run to the gates so we wouldn't miss the show.
I ran out of the van and left behind my shoes, my clothes, and everything else I had with me, assuring my friends I would find them after the show. I was wearing a long hippy skirt and no shirt, no wallet... just a skirt and nothing else.
I lost the girl I came with in the crowd and never saw my friends in the van again. I was barefoot and wearing nothing but a skirt until the tour reached Illinois and I was able to go home, shower, and get a change of clothes. What a great time, what great memories.
