- Coconut Phil12 years 8 months agoChanging times, same music.Loved the slideshow, can't wait for my copy to arrive. I enjoyed looking at the photos of the crowd. Seems that most of the crowd had on blue jeans, a little hot for July. Cargo shorts had yet to come on the scene. I just could not imagine wearing jeans at all in July, much less to a GD show. Glad I got my subscription to Dave's Pick's, this one is awesome. The Dick's Picks collection is disappearing fast, only 9 left to buy brand new. I'm still listening to E72, amazing jam. Thanks David for keeping it coming, looking forward to the rest of the years pick's. Jam on. Phil
- mato194912 years 8 months agoGreat ShowIndeed one of those epic Wall Of Sound shows that sounds great. Yep, I'll up grade from the very good CM version to this one when it hits the books. I'm still waiting for some golden gem that no one has, some show, or even parts of several shows with music that never got out there, something really different, something truely cosmic!!! (~);}
- treegarden12 years 8 months agoA high pointThis was my second-ever Dead show and my involvement with their music (listening to it, talking about it, covering it in a band) was at its peak. I will never forget the experience of hearing the first few warm-up chords that Bob played through the Wall of Sound, followed by Scarlet Begonias, which was my obsession at the time, and then so much more music on into the night. So glad this is coming out in a better-sounding recording than the one I have.
