    Volume Two Bonus...
Volume Two includes the Bonus Disc (for those who bought a subscription). If memory serves, it's a hand-picked selection of tunes from Landover, MD on 7/29/74. T-minus 4 weeks and counting...

Loved the slideshow, can't wait for my copy to arrive. I enjoyed looking at the photos of the crowd. Seems that most of the crowd had on blue jeans, a little hot for July. Cargo shorts had yet to come on the scene. I just could not imagine wearing jeans at all in July, much less to a GD show. Glad I got my subscription to Dave's Pick's, this one is awesome. The Dick's Picks collection is disappearing fast, only 9 left to buy brand new. I'm still listening to E72, amazing jam. Thanks David for keeping it coming, looking forward to the rest of the years pick's. Jam on. Phil

I saw a few shows that year....UCSB Campus Stadium - May 25, 1974 Winterland Arena - October 19, 1974 Winterland Arena - October 20, 1974 But....the real highlight for me was my 1st show on 2/9/73 at Stanford. Wall of Sound. New songs being tossed in. You know the rest of the story!!!

Soccer fans are insidious. They'll stop at nothing to infiltrate anywhere, even dead net. They say Jerry was as dexterous with his toes as he was with his magic fingers. He would have given Pele and Messi a run for their money. First show for me was Hollywood Bowl as a kid. The music changed my life for the better. Never got the soccer thing. Maybe I'll try it. Can't wait to get my copy.

too young to have attended this show in my home town but thanks to the vault i'll be transported back in time and thanks to hdcd space. I still cant belive that its taken this long to release another complete show from 74 after the cow palace from 3/23 sure we've had had three discs from the alexandra palace run from september 74, three discs from boston&providence from the previous month three discs from philly and jersey from the next week and five discs from the october 74 winterland run and even a mutilated compilation of 6/16 and 6/18/74 BUT nothing was more than one complete set not a complete show and not one that contained a ned and phil set outside a few minutes. why? 74 to me was one of the best years the band played. they had completely integrated all elements of their influences and played with panache and were backed by the ultimate pa. phew!! let it rock

I was lucky enough to be at both of Dave's first 2 releases. Both were incredible shows. Thank you so much for bringing back the memories. Kevin

My 7th show, and all told, of the 200 I eventually saw, my favorite of all time. A scheduled 6:30 start - but Phil walks out at 6:00 and says, "looks like everyone's here, so we're gonna get started". The band was raring to go, as was the audience on this beautiful summer day. I remember the crowd hooting' & hollering' at Me & My Uncle. Later, a great Jack Straw followed by a China-Rider for the ages. Through a great 2nd set highlighted by a fine Eyes, and concluded with a gorgeous Weather Report Suite. And then Jerry steps out and says "we're gonna take ANOTHER break. Set 3 full of delicious jamming, concluding with a raucous Saturday Night. Back for the encore they tune for a while before Phil tells us that it will sound a lot better if it's in tune. A brautiful Uncle John's Band finally ends it at 11:30 - 5 1/2 hours of bliss as the sun set behind them. Can't wait for the release.

My buddy and I had the wrong start time apparently and walked in during Around & Around. We were disappointed until set 3 came along. Quite the week, Dillon Stadium, two at the Philly Civic and then back up to Roosevelt Stadium. I know it was darn good, barn burners for sure, I just wish I could remember how good. I can only get so much reality from a cd but it sure beats nothin'. Thanks Dave for starting out with some gems.

Somehow it did not appear that their wall of sound was complete, but I might be mistaken.

How come no one told me there was a 'play' button?! The sound here is so clear and full even on my puny computer speakers. More slideshows please, this one is great!

That really sounds nice, That wall brings back memories, I saw it at the Civic Center in Philly, a Huge Cylinder in The middle of room with more speakers behind them. They would set it up according to how they needed it, remember, There were 2 complete Wall Systems so that One group could be going ahead setting up next venue, while the old one was being taken down. I remember being astounded as to how big the thing was, HUGE!! This sounds like it is going to be a good one. Jim

I wondered when someone would notice this. Durring the show roadies continuosly brought out different cardboard cutouts of Bobby. Someone on stage would point to something in the croud , then people would look in that direction and when they looked back Bobby would have changed positions.
