    Scarlet-Fire
This incredibly awesome Scarlet-Fire is a hidden filler on cd #2 of Dick's Picks 13 (after Saint of Circumstance). Do check it out!

    Oh What a night!
As they all were. 19 and living large. Had shitty seats, didn't care. I remember that Scarlet ( yeah I really do), one of the best I had heard. When I finish my time machine, this is one of the stops I'm going to make!

    First show
First show!! Being a fresh faced newbie, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Being the day after Halloween, I remember two people dressed up as turtles and saying to myself this is crazy. Don't remember anything really about the music, but there I was climbing the steps getting on the bus.

My first show and I was miracled at that!!! I passed my drivers test in 3rd period High School in West Hartford Connecticut, got the paper to get my license, instead I cutschool, walked a mile, took a bus to hartford, a train to manhattan, another train to long island, and went with my friend and his friend because his sister didn't want to go. I carried a sign of Uncle sam my sister drew for me the whole way, waved it like an idiot during the concert, and left it laying there, after the us blues encore, not knowing I had been lucky to get it that particular day as opposed to some other encore or not at all. My friends were overjoyed when it was over and looked scared, "they're not gonna play any more are they?" I think they asked me. I was on the bus, and completely unaware of My lucky rare early brent stuff they love each other and scarlett fire 2nd set opener love, I just knew I liked it, and that led zeppelin and pink floyd were still cool, I would always love Yes, but that this was the band for me...oh to be 16 again with Jerry Brent and Vince still on the planet...that would be a miracle indeed :)

My first show, too. I remember being astounded that the guy standing next to me could tell what song they were going to play before they started playing it. Little did I know...

There's this one, 3/10/81; a few other cream of the crops. This one is a true masterpiece. What a great show for your first show.
