    Great Show in Reno
Just wanted to say that the Reno show was outstanding and the turnout was phenomenal. Easily the biggest crowd Artown has ever seen, and most stayed for the whole show (even through the long bouts of sonification-esque numbers that the uninitiated usually punt on.) We can only hope to approach Mickey's energy and positive spirit, and as he said at the end of the show "take that good feeling and share it with others." Thanks Mickey and friends!

I second that emotion. I got home from SF in time to catch Mickey's gig in Wingfield park by the Truckee River - and man I was wonderful. The sound of the group is excellent - at times like taking Rhythm Devils space and turning it into singable, danceable grooves. And Hunter's words are really good as well - almost seems like he saves some of his best work for Mickey. All in all, a great way to kickoff Art Town, and an amazing infusion of energy into Reno. I hope more folks from the family come out here (Phil, Bob, Bill - are you listening?). :)

I had the priveledge to attend a Zappa Plays Zappa concert, and unbeknownst to be, I noticed flyers for Mickey Harts new project at the same venue coming up next week. A small and easily missed sign close to the box office said to ask the ticket person for free Mickey Hart tickets. I asked, and they gave me two. How cool is that? A miracle ticket I wasn't looking for!
