"Dupree's Diamond Blues" and "Mountains of the Moon" are on the three-disc Fillmore West 1969 compilation, and of course all of 3/1/69 appears on Filmore West 1969: The Complete Recordings, both of which were released in 2005 and appear to be out of print at the moment.
The Grateful Dead were on the road on October 17, 1989, the day the Loma Prieta earthquake knocked down a bunch of structures back home in northern California. Acknowledging the tragedy, The Dead played Rodney Crowell's song "California Earthquake (Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On)" twice, on October 20 and 23, 1989, and released the earlier performance on tape to local radio stations. The original appears on Crowell's 1978 debut album, Ain't Livin' Long Like This
Jackson Browne's "For Everyman" isn't Dead-related at all, but it's one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite California singer-songwriters, so when it came out on this beautifully-remastered compilation, I tossed it into the show in hopes of turning some new listeners on to one of the greats.
