    The rain
I* was sitting in trhe second to last row of the back bleachers-high enough up to be able to see out of the venue-I remember two things well-the carnies from the Cal Expo midway already had their rides set up, as the State Fair opened the following morning, and several rides were not only lit up, but the carnies were flashing the lights on the rides in time with the music. And when Bobby sang the line "I'll call down thunder and speak the same", in the distance behind the stage, a lightning bolt flashed in the clouds up against the distant mountains-I knew right then that even God was listening to the show that night.

The Rain show!! This was an awesome show. Raining in Sacramento in August - never happen's. The dead took it as a sign from the universe and ran with it. Magic. The next best thing was the double rainbow at alpine at the Grateful Dead reunoin.

Yeah it was always good to see the boys paying attention to what's going on! ColdRain&Snow>BoxofRain>LooksLikeRain> "your rain falls like crazy fingers..." Left me soaked and stoked...and more than a little smoked :^)
