    the GD are amazing
I recently went through another "no GD" phase. ANYTHING but the GD. then I listened to 7/25/74 and 7/19/74 and THEN 6/30/74 set 1 and TTHHEENN all of 6/23/74. It's as if the magic never left. someday I'll write a book...

    '74 booster, yeah Seastones
I guess I was in a small (tiny?) minority who felt stung by the exclusion of the massively weird Seastones interlude from the otherwise great Dave's #2. So this is a nice treat, 33 minute of strangeways to capture and keep with DP #2 and the subscription bonus disc, both of which I am still playing often.

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section. This week we have music from 1971, 1974 and 1985.

Our first stop is on 10/23/71 in Detroit, at Keith Godchaux's fourth show with the Grateful Dead. From this show we have Casey Jones, Me and My Uncle, Tennessee Jed, Sugar Magnolia, Comes A Time.

Next up is an interesting jam from the final night of the Europe '74 tour, on 9/21/74 in Paris. From this show we have the ending portion of Seastones into Playing In The Band. This Seastones features Jerry joining in with Phil and Ned for some wild sounds, before heading into a massive version of Playing In The Band.

Lastly this week is the entire first set from 11/22/85 in Oakland, CA, featuring Hell In A Bucket, Sugaree, New Minglewood Blues, Althea, Cassidy, Dupree's Diamond Blues, Let It Grow.

Be sure to join us next week for more tunes from the vault.

Did Ned ever think he had a permanent job in the band?

I am in the centerof the repeat arrow oval. Like a hibernating bear curls up for a winters slumber, I am as cozy as I can be. And like a cameo portrait sleeping to the music. Mostly an oval continuum into finished thoughts refined by the promise of an uninterrupted experience of needed succession. In the...end the specific manifestation is always superior to It's previously established point of arrival. Having a Double Sunday Week- this week, early. So glad you're All here! To US, with Organic Ginger Tea~ tink. Cheers! May your day find you in awe of all the beauty found not only in the sky but... one inch and one second around you, like a repeat option. mmmmmmmmm

we had quite discussion about this a few months ago. Personally, I love it. GDGDGDGDGDGDGD These europe 74 shows are all a lot of fun. the compendium disses 9/14/74, but whatever. It has its charms. 9/18/74 is one of my first tapes EVER (back in 1982).

How about all of 9.20.74 and 9.21.74 as a Dave's Pick or box set? The circulating sources are mediocre at best, and both of these shows are amazing!!
