Welcome back. Like last week, this week we have a double dose of 1979, plus some 1989 Grateful Dead here at the Tapers' Section.
First up is the end of the show from 11/29/79 in Cleveland, where we have Black Peter>Around and Around>Good Lovin'; US Blues. It was quite common in 1979 to come out of Space with the Jerry ballad, a bit of a change from the usual rocker coming out of space.
Next up is the pre-Drums sequence from 12/7/79 in Indianapolis, where we have China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Eyes Of The World, Lost Sailor>Saint Of Circumstance. This is a bit of a unique sequence in that Eyes follows China>Rider, which is usually followed by a Bobby tune.
Next up is the first part of the second set from 12/10/89 at the LA Forum, featuring Jack Straw>China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Man Smart (Woman Smarter). We hope you don't mind two China>Riders this week.
Be sure to stop by next week for more tunes form deep within the vault.
